The light is coming
I've decided to restart my White 2 game.

I began by being prompted to choose my name and gender, as well as my rival's name. I started in my house, where my mother greeted me. I then met my rival a bit later, who decided to tag along with me. I explored Aspertia City for a while, until I finally went to see Bianca. She gave me an Oshawott, as well as a Pokedex. My rival then challenged me to a battle against his Snivy, who I easily beat. Bianca then escorted me to the Pokemon Center, and I was given some Pokeballs, and a Town Map later on. She then showed me how to catch a Pokemon, and I saved afterwards.

So I continued on to Driftveil City, travelled to the next route and continued my training. On my way, I found the place where the weather research went on, and was given a free Deerling that I completely forgot about. Because I've never actually used a Sawsbuck before, I nicknamed her Sora and added her to the team. After a little bit of grinding, both Trenchant and Sora evolved. Not much has happened aside from that, but once more does, I'll edit my post.

EDIT: Moth just evolved too!

EDIT: So I decided to take on Clay. Sora was my lead for this battle, seeing as she has the only move that's super effective against Ground-types on my team, that being Energy Ball. I didn't think it'd do much, considering that Sawsbuck's a physical attacker, but I was surprised- it OHKO'd anything it came into contact with during the gym. Even Clay's lead, his Krokorok, was instantly taken out by it. His Sandslash was a little more resilient, and though it healed and nearly took out Sora with Crush Claw, I won with three Energy Balls.

I decided to switch Sora out against his Excadrill- I didn't feel like she'd be able to easily take it out with Jump Kick, and I didn't want her to faint. Instead, I switched in Moth. Moth's Dig took out just over half of its health, but its Sitrus Berry activated. I didn't want to risk Clay healing, so I pretty much just chipped a little bit of its health down with Return, and finished it off with a second Dig. I have to say, though- Stoutland's a better tank than I remembered. Despite taking two STAB Bulldozes and a Rock Slide, she still managed to survive with 43 HP out of 102.

I'll be going to the PWT in a few.

EDIT: And I did the Driftveil Tournament with a team of Moth, Sora and Asher! Moth was my main through all of it, though. I'm not even exaggerating- I managed a clean sweep of it with Moth.

EDIT: After a whole lot of story stuff, I caught my final team member, a Frillish called Helios. I equipped him with the EXP Share and started to go through Chargestone Cave so that I could train him.

Current team:
:508: Moth, level 34
;125; Miller, level 34
;136; Asher, level 32
;329; Trenchant, level 35
:586: Sora, level 35
:592: Helios, level 21

So I searched in the grass until I found and caught a Patrat, and then I went to Floccesy Town, where I met Alder. I explored the town for a while, until I moved on to the next route. I battled several trainers until I stumbled upon Floccesy Ranch. I caught a wild Riolu, and I met my rival. I defeated his Snivy easily, and I skipped across the ranch until I found a Plasma grunt. He tossed a TM at me and fled. I was escorted back to the town, where Alder invited me to fight two schoolchildren, who I defeated effortlessly.

So after grinding my team to level 40 (except Helios. He's off the team), I went to fight Skyla. I'd give you a rundown of the battle, but- it's not worth it. Seriously. Everything died to Miller's Discharge.

Anyways, I progressed onwards past Lentimas town and went to Undella. Unfortunately, though, I forgot about that sodding rival battle. Things started out okay against his Unfezant- two of Moth's Returns took it out easily. However, I started running into problems when I faced his Samurott. I sent out Sora against it so that she could take it out with Horn Leech- but guess who forgot about Reversal! Sora was down in one move. I sent out Trenchant as well to try and finish it off, but a critical Aqua Jet OHKO'd her. And then I sent out Miller. Discharge didn't finish it. He healed.

Starting to panic now, I sent out Helios, and used him to take hits until I could heal everyone. Of course, little did I know that Samurott couldn't hit him at all! So, taking advantage of this, I weakened it with Ominous Wind and sent out Trenchant again to finish it off. Thankfully, Trenchy actually managed it. I kept her out against his Simisage, but... she got KO'd again by Seed Bomb. At least I got the experience for Samorott... Anyhow, I sent out Asher, and OHKO'd it with Fire Fang.

After that sodding rival battle, I healed and trained a bit. While I did so, Trenchant finally evolved into a Flygon! After that, I went into Undella Bay with the intention of catching a Spheal. However, I managed to find a Wailord. I caught her, and though her nature was Calm (I kind of want to take advantage of its equal physical and special attacking stats), I went out again and this time caught a Relaxed male Wailmer, which I opted to nickname Flotsam.

After this, I began to train again.

Current team:
:508: Moth, level 45
;125; Miller, level 41
;136; Asher, level 40
;329; Trenchant, level 45
:586: Sora, level 41
;320; Flotsam, level 35

Finally played again today and went to Area 9 of the Black Tower. I still had my Emboar out front, so I battled several trainers with it until it reached level 86 like my Tauros. Then, I put Ludicolo in front and continued exploring in search of the gate trainer. Fortunately, I didn't have that hard of a time finding the gate trainer.

Once that gate was unlocked, I searched for the boss trainer's room and went inside when I found it. I sent out Ludicolo against the boss's Hydreigon and took it down with a couple of Ice Beams. Then, I switched to Krookodile to deal with Articuno and Entei with Stone Edge and Earthquake respectively.

So I decided to go back to Aspertia City to challenge the gym leader when Alder stopped me. He gave me some Oran berries, and I later arrived at the city. Clyde gave me some water before I defeated a few gym trainers. I then challenged Cheren, who despite using multiple Work Up attacks I was able to defeat. I then earned my first badge. I chatted with Professor Juniper on the Xtransceiver, and I saved the game.

I trained up my Pokemon to level 19. It was taking a while at first until I re-discovered Audino grinding, which made quick work of it. I then challenged Roxie's and swept it with Psyduck's Confusion. I made a film in PokeStar studios, and I didn't find that part interesting at all. Mostly unimportant Plasma chasing came next. I finally went to Virbank (I believe that's what it is; perhaps it was Castelia). I found all of the clowns in the city.

Now I'm chasing Plasma in the sewers, but I'm lost and unable to move forward in the game.

I evolved Snivy and Mareep.

Would it surprise you if I told you that I failed horribly while fighting Drayden? Sure, I didn't black out or anything, but I came awfully close to it...

Anyways, after I trained my team to level 45, I took his gym on and faced off against him. I intended to lead with Trenchant, thinking that he had something that wasn't a Druddigon in his first slot. However, he did, and as I had problems with Druddigons earlier in the gym, I switched out to Moth. She took it out easily with two Returns. However, as she took a bit of damage, I switched Flotsam in against his Flygon.

This is where I began to run into problems. I thought two Surfs would be enough to take it out, but it barely managed to hang on with 1HP- and Flotsam only had 22. Thinking that Sora could outspeed, I switched her in. However, as I went to heal with Horn Leech, it hit her with a critical Rock Slide- so, of course, I had to heal. I switched into Flotsam to take the next hit, and he fainted because of that. Then Sora started to fall behind, so I went to heal Moth and switched into her. Guess what. Moth fainted too. Then I forgot that Flygon would outspeed, then switched back into Sora...

You can probably guess the result.

Hoping that I'd get lucky for once in this battle, I switched back into Trenchant, who thankfully managed to take it out with a Dragonbreath. However, I didn't feel like she'd be able to stand up against his Haxorus, so I decided to switch in Miller to take attacks while I healed Moth, just in case. I started off with Thunder Wave, though, and as luck would have it, Haxorus was unable to move until I was finished, which then allowed me to hit it a couple of timed with Swift. He was quickly knocked out, though, and because I felt that Trenchy could finish it, I switched her in. It survived her Dragonbreath and tried to hit her with a Dragon Tail- but luckily enough, it missed her, allowing her to finish it off.

After I got my badge, I saved and quit. I needed a break after that battle.

EDIT: I got to Humilau City. I'd describe how it went, but it was mostly my Power Trio (Asher, Sora, Moth) who dealt with it.

Anyways, I decided to take Miller off the team. He was starting to fall behind, and training him had become a struggle. Because of that, I decided to return to the Ranch to try and find a Mareep. Training it at this point will be hard, yes, but I think I'd prefer it to struggling with Miller more.

EDIT: Just a short update: I managed to catch a Mareep, which I nicknamed Joe. The reference is probably a little obvious, but I liked it, so I decided to use it.

So I managed to get Joe up to the same level as the rest of my team! I love using him so far- he's a good tank.

Current team:
:508: Moth, level 45
;136; Asher, level 45
;330; Trenchant, level 48
:586: Sora, level 46
;321; Flotsam, level 45
;181; Joe, level 47

Former team members:
;125; Miller, level 12-45

I made my way to Virbank City when I was stopped by Cheren, who introduced me to the darker grass and gave me some Pecha berries. I arrived in Virbank City, where I overheard Roxie arguing with her father. I met a scientist who gave me an Ether, and I beat some workers. I was rewarded with a TM for Rock Smash, and I saved the game.

After grinding a bit, I went to face Marlon. With both Sora and Joe on my team, he was honestly pathetically easy. I decided to lead off with Sora against his Carracosta. Though it survived her first Horn Leech due to Sturdy, a second after it healed and a Return took it down capably. His Wailord was next, and I opted to send out Joe against it. I set up with Parafusion and started to spam Discharge. It fainted after two. Same story with his Jellicent. Joe took very little damage through the entire battle.

Once I was done with him, I started to progress to the Plasma Frigate. I think on second thought, though, that I might hang back to train my team to level 53-55.

Also Flotsam got worked over by Roggenrolas. Who would have thought it?

Current team:
:508: Moth, level 51
;136; Asher, level 50
;330; Trenchant, level 51
:586: Sora, level 51
;321; Flotsam, level 50
;181; Joe, level 51

So I went into the Virbank gym, where I challenged and successfully beat Roxie to earn my second badge. I was then invited to the Pokéstar Studios, where I made a movie and got critical acclaim for it. After being given some Lemonade from a fan, I went to battle some Plasma grunts. Once I did that, I saved the game.

I finally finished up the Black Tower today by entering Area 10. I started exploring the area by taking on a few trainers while looking for the gate trainer. My Ludicolo, Krookodile, Rotom, and Sigilyph took care of most of the trainers I faced and gained some levels in the process. The trainers weren't too hard, though there was this one Gothitelle I faced that confusion haxed half my team...

Anyway, finding the gate trainer wasn't too bad. I had to visit every floor of the area to find him, but it didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. With the gate open, I soon found the boss's room and went inside to face Benga. I had my Rotom defeat Latios with Shadow Ball, then burn Garchomp with Will-O-Wisp. Then, I switched to Tauros and used it to take down both Garchomp and Volcarona.

After defeating Benga, I returned to the lobby and received a Hondew Berry. I then left the Black Tower and watched the seasons change several times before heading into the Pokemon Center to receive a million new medals. Then, I flew to Floccesy Town and headed to Alder's house. I talked to Benga there and finally got my shiny Gible.

Today I restarted my save file. I choose my starter, Tepig, and named him Piggy. I'll be using Tepig for the first time. I plan to get some more team mates.

Edit for more

I got the 2x Town Maps, and went to the Ranch to give them to my rival, Mikey. I gave him one, and he let me keep the second one. We then battled, Tepig vs Oshawott. I started by lowering his defense, then attacking with Tackle. It worked very well. I also caught a Mareep, and named him Wade.

So I sailed to Castelia City, where I met a clown who gave me a bicycle. I decided to explore this large city for a while. I was given many items and battled many trainers. My Riolu evolved after one battle. After that, I attempted to enter the gym when I was stopped by Iris, who took me to the Castelia Sewers. This is where I saved the game today.

Not sure if this really counts, since I never actually started the game yet (this is Black 2 I'm talking about, by the way).

Anyway, I started planning a new team for B2. I say new, because I got about half-way through the game the first time, but then I just stopped, for some reason. So, the only reason I would continue playing it is if I just restarted the game with a new team.

So far my team is definitely going to consist of Samurott, Lucario and Zoroark (obviously :))
It's looking like Crobat might be my flier.

For those last two slots, I have Beartic and Darmanitan, but I haven't came to any final decisions about those last two yet. I have quite a few others that I might consider using as well, so I'm going to give myself some time to think things over on this front. I might change my mind about using Beartic and Darmanitan.

Now, all of a sudden, I'm considering having Magmar* be a possibilty for a fire type.

* - Because this will be my second time starting this one since the online services were discontinued, so when it comes to evolving Magmar into Magmortar, I'm out of luck there.

- I played my White 2 this past weekend and did a film at Pokestar Studios and then I went to the Virbank Complex place and caught some pokemon that I needed to fill up my pokedex. ^^
- I headed to Castelia city after that and I visited Gamefreak's headquarters and defeated a trainer inside, then I rode my bicycle through the Skyarrow bridge and arrived in Nacrene.
- I got a cloth from a waitress at the cafe in Nacrene city and I went to Route 3 and stopped by the day care and left two pokemon there. Next I visited Striaton's restaurant and battled.

So I explored the Castelia Sewers for a while, and then I fought and defeated some Plasma grunts. After that, I went back to the Castelia gym to challenge Burgh. I earned the badge with the help of Tranquill. Once I finished that, I sprinted north, until I found Colress, who challenged me to a battle. I won, and I saved the game.

- I did some more things in White 2 including defeating Cress and Chili with Cilan's help at the former Striaton gym and then I focused on fishing in Humilau city and Undella bay's coasts. ^^
- I flew to Icirrus city and I encountered the Shadow Triad and we battled. I defeated those guys and went to Dragonspiral tower as well and caught pokemon that I needed for my dex.
- I took a trip to Mistralton city now and I went on Skyla's plane and we flew to the nature preserve place and I caught the shiny Haxorus there and some other pokemon species too.

Call of Fate
Today,I decided to challenge the Elite Four in Black 2 with just one Pokemon, which was Zekrom. I defeated Caitlin's team(barring Metagross)with Zekrom's Shadow Claw. Metagross then fell to a combination of Shadow Claw and Fusion Bolt. Next,I battled Shauntal and destroyed Drifblim with Fusion Bolt and the rest of her team with Shadow Claw. Then,I temporarily taught Focus Blast to Zekrom and gave it a Wide Lens to hold. Grimsley's Honchkrow fell to Fusion Bolt and his Houndoom to Stone Edge, the rest were defeated with Focus Blast, which surprisingly didn't even miss once, although Bisharp was able to outspeeed Zekrom thanks to Quick Claw and landed a critical hit with Night Slash. After the battle,Zekrom hit level 100 and finally learned Bolt Strike, which replaced Fusion Bolt. Marshal's Pokemon weren't too hard to beat, either.
Next,I challenged Iris. Her Haxorus luckily kept using Dragon Dance,so Zekrom eventually defeated it with Outrage. After entering the Hall of Fame and watching the credits,I talked to the Medal Guy and received the One and Only medal as well as Dragon-type and Electric-type Champ medals. Then,I saved the game.
