Hi guys, still after shiny Turtwig and now shiny Snivy too, these two are long SR's, specially Turtwig but I don't feel like quiting, once I get them both the feeling will be amazing

Congrats @Uber_Fuller, gold and silver Metagross is one of the coolest shinies out there
Nice hunt @City of Delusion, Cobalion is my fav from the three Muskedeers (four?), and a week of SRing?, is not that bad... congrats!!!
WOW nice work catching the shiny Regio Trio @rykerr1, I'm planning to do a Genie (Sacred Beasts?) Trio shiny hunt

Well, good luck guys SRing, REing and MMing, hopes for a shiny future

As far as I know only the first egg details is 'set' and only when you first put the pokemon in the day-care. All eggs after that are random so you can still MM for shinies, however as the first egg is the one that is important to RNGing, you cannot RNG.

Ponyta hunt is stil dragging on, despite my attempts to get as many eggs hatched as possible today.....hopefully I'll have more luck tomorrow.
And as I think most people feel, I have no real problem with the Shiny Stone but I don't like the 'free' shinies. However, I do wonder whether people will eventually get used to the Shiny Stone or whether they'll always be like this about it. I mean, someone mentioned that in youtube videos people are scrolling their inventory to show that they don't have the item. But people don't do that for MM, they don't show the parents to show it's not MM, even though surely when that came out that would have been just as big a difference. And kind of even worse as with REs you can't control (much) the nature and stuff but you can with MM....So yeah, I wonder whether people will eventually just accept it as standard or always be uneasy about it...

Hopefully you'll get lucky (I have one though. Was EXTREMELY lucky cause I traded with someone through negotiations.) Another shiny I have waiting for me is marill in my leafgreen. Found it while I was going toward the Tanoby Ruins in Leafgreen. So far, that's all the shinies I have across all the games I have.

Thanks on all the gratz everyone it really means a lot and gratz on the Registeel rykerr1! I checked the IV's on Cobalion and there pretty good! until it gets to speed lol still really pleased with it tho.

HP: 29
Att: 28 - 29
Def: 22 - 23
SpA: 24 - 25
SpD: 14 - 15
Speed: 2 - 3

@City - Wow good work dude! How many SR's do you average a day?

I have no idea since I don't keep track of my SR's, I don't like the idea of bringing a calculator everywhere I decide to hunt ;/ but I might start keeping track for future hunts maybe.

@Shiny Hunter Se7en Yea I know its not that bad I just wasn't expecting it to take as long since my other SR shinies came a bit quicker.

I have no idea what I'm gonna hunt for next, I'll probably take a little break and train up some mons for now. Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone, congrats to City of Delusion (nice name :p) on the shiny Cobalion, beautiful shiny, Helio on the shiny Starly, and Uber Fuller on the shiny Metang! How did you get a shiny Kyurem, may I ask? Did you have a shiny Kyurem that transforms into a shiny aswell?

As for the shiny charm, I think that's gonna be a great addition! Easier shinies are never something to complain about :} But have any of you heard about the 'glitch' in BW2 that stops you from getting shiny eggs? Something about the nature/gender/shininess of each egg being set after you start the game. I heard something about it, but I'm not quite sure. If it's true. then that sucks :(

Thanks, and I SR for a shiny kyurem in the giant chasm on my white 2, I showed pictures pages back. I used that kyurem and a normal reshiram (because you can't get it shiny) to merge into shiny white kyurem.

Congrats on all the resent shinies everyone.

Right then, boxed up 210 Tauros eggs, must be in one of those... Will hatch them tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I've obtained the female parent for my MM hunt.

A Female Zubat with 31 Speed IV (holding Power Anklet) - English

Edit: I have arranged a trade later for a Jolly Japanese Ditto, so I should be all set by tonight.

@Master, good luck with Tauros, its a really cool shiny. By the way, I love the shiny team in your signature.
@Uber_Fuller - Congrats!

To everyone else I missed, good luck with your respective hunts and congrats to anyone I missed!

Now all I need is a Jolly Japanese male Zubat or a Jolly Japanese Ditto. I have been putting my MM hunt on hold all week to get the right parents and still only have one. So if you have a Japanese game and can trade me one of these I would be forever in your debt!

You know you could use any of the other like 45 Pokemon in the Flying egg group instead of a Ditto. They wouldn't be quite as useful as a Ditto as they could only breed with other Flying group pokemon afterwards (though there are a few that are in two egg groups) but it's an option. in case you have easier access to one of them than a Ditto.

2235 eggs hatched for snivy now. Man my luck has seemed to dry up after getting my shiny spiritomb on June 10th.

I say people will eventually get used to it n be bored w/ it like them to RNG.
Let's see in the future. I don't really care about it, we have our own ways to do things. No one is better than the others even if it means one has more shinies.
It sounds like you can get shinies just by ev training, sounds like getting shinies in pokemon rumble. If it does, it's not hunting at all then.

Gift shinies make me lazy to hunt them too. Maybe GF wants to make the game more commercial. And dragon is so popular.
Why can't they just give shiny Axew instead. So I don't have the same shiny if I buy the other version.

It's a matter of time before GF gives away all shinies and we can dismiss ourselves for good. :O

I was hatching Totodile eggs, searching for a female, when the first egg that hatched was shiny. It's Careful-natured, and probably has poor IVs. I don't care too much for it, but it's a nice surprise. I was using my French Ditto (why didn't I throw in my flawless Japanese one instead? xD). It makes for my third random BW shiny, and my fifth random one overall.

I don't think the Shining Charm can really ruin shiny hunting. What's MM at right now? 1 / 1366 (says bulbapedia)? I've had ONE hunt under that number. Most of my hunts go over 2K. I doubt we'll suddenly see a flood of shinies just because of the charm. (Though I wish it were the case for me so I could get that bloody female bulbasaur to shine!)

edit - I don't mind the gift shinies. They clearly put that for people like my friend who played since 1st Gen came out and has NEVER encountered a shiny. She hates me. :p Anyways, it's all well and good that we can get a shiny Dratini, but it has the wrong ability for me (I read somewhere it's Shed Skin only), so I STILL have to breed one >.<

Egg 125!
Wow, congrats Eleventh!!

Your first egg, too!?

I take it your Tododile was English and the Ditto was French? What luck!!

Congrats on a great, quick shiny!

Rounded out my eggs to an even 500 on my mystery Masuda Method hunt now. Pushing through the lulls and hoping it shines soon. I looked at the shiny sprite last night for the final evolution, and I really, REALLY like the first sprite's shiny coloring so much better.

It's a bummer, but I won't complain as long as it shines somewhat (next 1,500 eggs please?) soon!

Good luck to all!

Just a quick question.
Which legendary poke in W2 can shine and which cant? In case I want to SR one.

Hatched 36 Zubat eggs, boxed up 30 more. The rate of eggs being supplied to me is unfortunately slow because I am using a ditto + zubat rather than a zubat + zubat. Oh well, I am glad I finally got my jolly ditto ^_^ Good luck everyone, and congrats Eleventh on shiny Totodile. One of my favorite starters.

I believe DW pokemon, Hidden Hollow pokemon, and Reshiram/Zekrom are the only pokemon who can't shine.

Well if you like the first stage better, then just don't evolve it. I didn't evolve my shiny Sandile.

I'm at 13,425 random encounters for Vibank as of right now. Also I just passed 100 hours on this game, 90 of which were dedicated to this hunt.

Congrats on everyone's recent shinies, and good luck to those whose patience is being tested!

Woot! Shortest hunt yet! 352nd egg contained a shiny male weedle ^_^ It's Naive, which isn't quite what I was hoping for, but with Relatively Superior stats and max Atk, Def and Speed. I can't complain too much, it could be worse. Now to release the other 351 weedles I don't need :p

Nothing in those 7 boxes! Back to egg gathering, I suppose... and that's the worst part of MM...

I know your pain I just filled up 11 boxes and nothing, mming in heartgold is much tougher than black and white!

Heliotrope

it shone! ^_^
Today is my birthday, so I'm hoping for a birthday shiny. ^_^

Congrats on the shiny Totodile, The Eleventh! That was my first ever masuda method shiny (and funnily enough it hatched on my birthday in 2009 - it took 3411 eggs, and was Jolly natured with a 31/30 IV in speed/attack, so it was a great 'birthday present' ^.^ )

My current main hunts are coming along well.

Soul Silver: Headbutt - 12,840 encounters
Heart Gold: Badge Quest, Lapras - 1500 soft resets
Platinum: Badge Quest, Cranidos - 500 soft resets
White: Litwick - 21,000+ encounters

Good luck everyone. Congrats on new shinies. n_n
