Just thought I would update you guys on my chaining
so far in this chain I have caught 12 shiny farfetch'd
however I only have 123 max repels left (I started this chain with over 500) so hopefully I will be able to keep the chain going until they run out.
My aim for this chain now is 15 shinies, I'll update when the chain has ended.

Wow, that's really quite impressive. Well done! I've never even maganed to get ONE chained shiny before, let alone 12....granted I haven't given it as much of a chance as other methods but still, it's tricky. ><

Over 1500 eggs for Ponyta now...hard work. Tryingto think of dan's long Slugma hunt to spur me on haha.

Also, as people are posting BW2 shinies here, does anyone know whether you can see the Shiny status of all starters (like in HG/SS) or whether you have to select one to find out whether it's a shiny (like most other games). Would quite like a Shiny Tepig but would sacrifice the ability to choose my starters for a short SR session haha.... I did ask twice in the BW2 help thread but nobody answered...hoping someone here might know.

I've seen many Youtubers select one and then see it's summary, so I assume you have to check after you get it instead of before you get it.

Also, Happy Birthday Helio! Have a great day, and I'm going for Lapras or the Headbutt Hunt to shine today.

Anyways, I am now planning to get White 2 for Christmas, and then I'll buy Heart Gold with my money...sounds good?

Been forever since I posted... Still haven't gotten that shiny Lillipup or Eevee. I'm not really trying right now though. I'm finishing up my Dream Team run through on my second Black. Hoping to run into a shiny while training for Elesa. Training in Lostlorn Forest right now. Let's hope for the best...
It's really sad that I'm requiring all my Pokemon be level 30 before I challenge her. Makes it easier to train for Clay though. They all have to be Level 35 before I challenge him. Then they're more than prepared for Skyla.

Anyways, I am still REing in the Giant Chasm. I am at 6907 total wild random encounters and hoping and praying that when I do get a shiny, it will be Ditto or Metang. I kinda want it to be Ditto because I can just MM for a Beldum. I told my friend Taylor if I end up getting a shiny Clefairy, I'm naming it after her. She wasn't too happy about that. Hehehehe.

The only reason why I would be happy with the given out shinies in BW2 is the fact that I never really wanted to evolve my pink Dratini when I hatched it, but I did anyways. Now I can just have a lil pink Dratini in White 2. The Haxorus, however, makes me kinda mad. I would have just kept my shiny Axew an Axew if I knew they were gonna give a Haxorus away for free. Oh well.

Hey guys ive been watching this this for a while now and are familiar with the various methods of hunting. My only shiny that i have encountered (got more from trades) is my emolga, i may get pictures up sometime. I am currently after a shiny treecko = amazing, and are using mm 451 eggs in .
Hope you get your starter soon aquaregisteel and doodle i hope you get ponyta and a little bit of bday luck for heliotrope? and dan hopefully a quick hunt for tentacool after the 4200 slugma and finally good luck for anyone i have missed!

Just a friendly request-I am trying my very hardest to keep B2W2 a surprise for myself but still love to read up on the boards, particularly this thread as I'm about to start SRing for Lugia and like to come here for inspiration. Can everyone try to not spoil B2W2 in this thread? Could there be a second thread for B2W2 shinies on that board? I'd hate to have to go cold turkey with this site until fall but understand if that's my realistic best option.

You know... I said 352 weedles, but now that I think about it I DID hatch ~1300 bulbasaurs. So it was more like 1600 since my last shiny >.<
Still, at least I only had to do one batch of weedles ^_^
I'm working on Rattata now. I was going to stock up ~300 eggs first, but lost patience after one box. that method is just not for me

Once I got Squirtle, I still need to MM for Cyndaquil....and once I got Cyndaquil, that means I've completed the Shiny Starters Collection for Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn region

Today is my birthday, so I'm hoping for a birthday shiny. ^_^

For Eevee, maybe you can try chaining in D/P/Pt by using a male Cute Charm Pokemon as the lead. Cute Charm makes it easier to find opposite gender Pokemon.

If I recall correctly, she wants a female Shiny Eevee. Which definitely will take ages to get considering Eevee only has 12.5% chance to be female.
I want a female Shiny Eevee too, and I ends up getting one from the GTS lol. I don't think I have the patience to get a female Shiny Eevee via MM.

I can just MM for a Beldum.

You'll be better MM for it in B/W 2, with the help of the Shining Charm.
Otherwise it will be a VERY long hunt, and I'm not talking about getting the shiny, I'm talking about the time it takes to hatch all those eggs
It could get boring soon because Beldum takes a long time to hatch, so might as well get the shiny as soon as possible.

I always kinda feels bad when I see people taking a long time to get a shiny that I obtained easily.....it took me only 25 eggs for a Shiny Snivy and even then I didn't even aim for a shiny, it's just a coincidence that the only Smeargle I have is Japanese, which activates MM.

Well, despite being an avid shiny hunter I've never actually posted on this thread, but I figure I can share a recent story for motivation.

I obtained an all shiny MM team for my original run-through of my Black version. Lucario, Skarmory, Whimsicott, Gengar, Zoroark, and Vaporeon. Took tens of thousands of eggs... so of course the cartridge gets stolen.

I've dedicated this summer to getting this team back. At first, things went smoothly. Randomly found Ezekiel the Gastly on Platinum after 1000ish encounters so I wouldn't have to MM it. My next target was my Zororark, Garooroo. When I originally bred him for Black I didn't care about his IVs, so of course I got Adamant nature with a Sp. attack IV of 1 :/ This time, I wisened up: I got two flawless parents and the item to pass down the Sp. attack IV.

My new shiny Zorua hatched tonight after 546 eggs. Relaxed nature (lowers speed). His IVs? 19/31/20/31/31/00!!! WHY THE ZERO! AAHHHGGGG!!! OF ALL OF THE POSSIBLE RANDOM BAD NUMBERS IT HAD TO GET ZERO SPEED BUT PERFECT SP. DEFENSE!!! I guess I'll just never have my purple Zoroark for competitive use... now someone come steal my good luck in shinies before I get another one with bad IVs, because I'm going after Vaporeon next and don't mind a long hunt if it means I can actually use it

Ok this is crazy, I was breeding for a Dream world timid Smoochum with good Iv's then I noticed that a Smoochum that I just hactched looked slightly lighter. I said to myself "it can't be" So I checked and it was a shiny! This is my second 1/8192 egg shiny (first being Aipom) and was completely random! Everstone didn't work but atleast it got its dream world ability, soo shocked right now. Gratz on the recent shinies and good luck!

Have there really been that many spoilers? All I can recall is a couple of shiny BW2 pokes and I asked how starters were obtained. But that only tells you that a few pokemon are available in BW2 and that you have to pick one starter, don't think those are massive spoilers lol....I won't mention anymore because I don't have BW2 anyways, but I can't speak for others. ^^;

I am shocked you have not heard of more than one shiny being captured using the pokeradar. My highest number of shinies from a single chain has been 51 shiny Shinx. Closely followed by Nidoran Female at 45 shinies and there are others around 30ish. I've heard many people have gotten large amounts of shinies form a single chain so, i don't know it seems weird that you haven't read on here about them?

On topic, i have hatched another 2 boxes of Charmander eggs on black and still no shiny. I have also on white version hatched out another box each of Koffing, Gastly, Squirtle, Tympole, Pidove and Skorupi and again still have no shiny to show for it. It has been over 4 months since my MM shiny Buneary hatched out on white version so i think my games are being very stingy. I think i will concentrate on just the charmanders on black and only change when i get my shiny. Maybe that will work better.

I have heard of it, or I know it's possible at least. But I only started coming on this forum regularly recently and since then most people are hunting shinies in BW and some HGSS so there aren't many shiny posts about chaining. Those that have haven't really mentioned multiple shiny chains and the few people I know who play Pokemon in real life only ever bothered to get 1 in a chain. So yeah....I know you can get big numbers but I've never really heard about anyone getting that many before.

3600 encouters so far in victory road/route 14. I want this hunt to end soon cuz i Have not been motivated at all. Ive done like 1000 encounters in two weeks.
