how do so many people have these shiny random encounters, are different places better than others? ina ll of my time playing pokemon i havent had one shiny encounter :'(

I'm working on a shiny Dratini hunt right now . No luck yet, but I'm not willing to give up.

Random question: If someone ran into a Pokemon that has Pokerus, can they still be able to run into shiny Pokemon? I figure that I can, but I just wanted to doublecheck there.

I hope the ditto wasn't japanese, because that would mean you had some EXTREMELY bad luck there...

It was Japanese... I gave him a japanese Zorua from my japanese game and that had no luck for him!

just hatched my first shiny via masuda method. started a trapinch hunt this morning, 58 eggs later the naughty green female came out to greet me. startled the hell out of me. not sure if its extreme luck or the game saying "im sorry for not having a shiny vulpix after 800-1.2k eggs".....feeling lucky...may start a charmander hunt...

there is a 0.51% chance of this happening, so in a way you can consider yourself lucky lol
i am up to 2200 REs at pinwheel forest and if you include the REs from the failed hunt last week that is 4200 REs

Up to 800 REs for Pinwheel Forest so far. It's not that many but I don't really feel like this one will be a long hunt so I'm feeling pretty good.

9600 for my Wellspring Cave thing though...gonna take a break on this one so I can focus on Pinwheel. This Cottonee will be mine..hopefully with Prankster.

You remembered to breed the Japanese stuff with something NOT Japanese, right?

I've been lurking around for days, so time to post.

Because of Con's siggy, I chose Deino to be my first 5th gen shiny. Hehe Up to a couple of hundreds of eggs already, but it won't turn green. Hatching eggs IS boring enough to get me drowsy.

I have about 30 shinies of my own so far (different ones, that is, since I don't count my doubles). Currently trying to find a way to fit all of them in my sig without it being overly annoying. Suggestions welcome.

Darn, still no sign of that Shiny Kyurem. I just finished up my daily soft reset session for the Shiny Kyurem, but it looks like I'll have to wait a few more days for that to appear. I left the Giant Chasm and returned to Driftveil City to continue my random encounter hunt for Shiny Frillish. I decided to use a Pokemon with the Illuminate ability this time since that'll increase the odds of a Pokemon appearing. I've done about 40 more random encounters this afternoon and I plan on reaching 100 by tonight. I really need to pick up the pace, though. I'm really behind on both the Shiny Kyurem and Shiny Frillish hunts.
