Haven't had a random shiny ingame since gold/silver/crystal but recently was roaming in pokemon white and had two shinies pop up near enough within hour an hour of each other.

I only hatched 3 boxes of litwick eggs.
I'm collecting my eggs and hatching them on marvelous bridge.
I collected more that 100 of each useful feather and i'm hoping to encounter a shiny swanna.:3
The feathers will come in handy.

Hey good luck with your shiny hunting. I am also hunting shiny litwick. Hatched almost 150 eggs so far. Got another 50 to go before i need to stock up again.

Wow my luck strikes again! I just started this hunt yesterday and after only 286 eggs shiny Ferroseed is mine Its female and has jolly nature =[ I wanted relaxed but everstone failed, oh well, jolly isnt that bad of a nature for it anyway. But November seems to be my lucky month, 5th shiny and not even half way through this month. Good luck on you hunts everyone!

I didn't catch a shiny on Black yet, but about a week ago I decided to breed for a Purrloin with Foul Play. And yes, it hatched shiny! It's female and I forgot her nature./fail

Found my SoulSilver today. My save was with chikorita as my starter. Figured I'd restart and choose cyndaquil. Then got a thought. Maybe I'll try and get a shiny starter again. I really wanted it to be cyndaquil, but on my 37th SR I got a shiny chikorita BI I kept it and called him Magnum, but I wanted a cyndaquil darn it. Happy still, my quickest hunt so far <3

awesome. i am decided to try that also. its my first real attempt at sring a shiny other than when i tried to sr for giratina on platinum (quit after 10 sr's...). my hunt is going a little slower though. 900 sr's so far, but i am hoping totodile will shine for me.

I am going to be going after a shiny something. I haven't decided quite what just yet :/ I will update this when I decide

Just know that when I am done I shall have a shiny living dex ^-^ (of course excluding shiny prohibited pokemon)

Lucky you. I've been hatching Rotom since last week and I still don't have a shiny Rotom. Hope the Everstone works and I get Modest.

Now I wonder if my Jap. Ditto is hacked to be an English Ditto w/ Jap. characters.

Still trying to get Shiny Litwick! I havent been counting my eggs and am Curious as to why people do? How do you guys hatch your eggs? Do you stack them in a bunch of boxes till you have so many than hatch? I personally just put them in my party with 1 pokemon and GO!

Also what does the Everstone do when your breeding?

Personally, when I MM (and this is just me), I empty my team except for a Volcarona with Fly (since Volcarona has Flame Body), put my Korean Ditto and my Pokemon that I want in the Day Care, and start collecting eggs. I keep the eggs until I fill my team, dump all but one in the boxes, collect more, and repeat until I fill a couple of boxes. Then I hatch them all and start over. This isn't the most efficient way to do this, because every time you get an egg, it finishes out the current cycle of your step count. Some people count their steps to get all 250 steps removed. I don't do this. Some people also collect eggs and just fill their boxes, and hatch them all at once. The most inefficient way to MM is to collect 5 eggs, hatch them, and start over.

People count eggs is just for the novelty of it, so friends can keep up with how lucky or unlucky we've all been lately. It's also fun to be proud of your hatching accomplishments and say, "It took me 9,000 eggs to get that Shiny Litwick...but I persevered and got it!" Or, if you think you have an English-hacked Ditto with Japanese characters (like vandslaux above you), you would know because each of your hunts is taking approximately 8,000 eggs, when a real Japanese Ditto would give you at least one or two hunts of 1,000 eggs or less.

Nice. I've hatched 275 Ferroseed eggs, so hopefully my shiny comes close to when yours did. I'm hoping for a brave nature.

If you put an Everstone on a FEMALE Pokemon (it can't be male), the offspring have a 50% chance of having the female's nature. This is especially useful when you want a shiny with a particular nature - it increases your chances of having the desired nature from 4% to 50%.

Actually as of HGSS everstone works for males and females. I have tried it.

I only hatched 150 litwick egg.
No shiny yet but hopefully soon.
I also started RE ing for a shiny on route 16 and so far i only had 161 encounters.

Really? I'll have to try that again. Maybe I just had a bad stroke of luck when I tried it on males.
