Only thing that i dont like about 5th gen is how fast it seems to be going.

its been just over a year since B/W came out in the US and already talks of the 3rd game/ sequels are here.

that and i beat pokemon Black in less than a week, while i have yet to make it all the way through Platinum or HG/SS yet.

So im sorta in the middle.

Wait what middle?

Wait what middle?

i Dont Hate the games, but i dont like them as much as other generations, That middle.

Maybe the better word is that i am neutral when it comes to my opinion of this generation.

They are my third favourite so far and I loved them after disliking Gen. IV. I loved how they made you use newbies, I've found a lot that I like.

I'm all fired up!
I like gen V alot, I found myself embracing the new pokemon more in my teams than I did on Platinum and perhaps Ruby where the majority of the time I had my Charizard, Snorlax, Dragonite, Tyranitar and others from Kanto/Johto.

5th Gen is probably my favorite gen. I like something in each gen, but 5th Gen on a whole is fantastic--especially the Pokemon. I have way too many favorites from 5th Gen. That, and all of the renovations and ways the games broke away from previous titles make the 5th Gen very likeable.

Generation 5 is great. It's the most advanced generation and it has some pretty good Pokemon. I still prefer gen 4, but that's just because I don't like how empty Unova feels right now. There's just not that much to do besides beating the main story and filling your Black City/White Forest which I really don't care about. Despite all that I still think it's the best generation so far and I think that once I get Black or White 2 it's going to become my favorite generation.
Also, I'm fine with people disliking it as long as their reasons aren't something stupid like "lololol runnin out of ideas" or "gen x was better because I grew up with it" and garbage like that. Having a different opinion is fine, but having such stupid reasons is just infuriating.

Gen V, to me, is the second best after Gen III.
So, I voted "Love it"

99% of the Unova Pokémon have cool designs and the games are simple awesome. The only bad aspect is the lack of a remake, but it may still happen.

Do I have to "Love it" or "Hate it"? No middle ground?

Well, I like it more than I dislike it, so... "Love it" then.

there are some good 5th gen pokemon, not many in my opinion, i just think that its getting to that point where there are simply too many pokemon and its getting too complicated, i felt like 62.5% of the gym leaders in this generation were too easy and boring to battle (i hope b2/w2 rectifies that)

Bibarel's adorable.
I really like the Pokemon in the gen, but if I may say so, the games are probably the least satisfying in the title since Red/Blue. Pretty much all you get to do in the game is battle. You don't get a casino or a safari zone or ANYTHING. ...Oh yeah, there's Pokemon Musical, but it sucks. So basically, if you want to find something different and fun, you're pretty much FORCED to "get creative." Never should you have to "get creative" in order to find fun.

I know what you're going to say in that battling is the main focus of Pokemon. Well, yes and no. What made Emerald/Platinum/HGSS so fun wasn't the battling aspects, but the amount of fun things you could do BESIDES battling. Stuff like the Pokemon Contests, the Secret Bases, Battle Frontier, Super Contests, Pokemon Underground, Pokeathelon, and that's not even counting all the little things you could do like grow berries and collect soot.

In Black/White, all the stuff that made the past few games fun is now limited to "online only" content. Growing berries? You can only do it online. Secret Bases? Online only. And so on. And for me, stuff you can only do online might as well not even exist, because I'll never be able to go online on my DS. To get WiFi on my DS would require serious re-working to the router, and I don't go to any WiFi hot-spots except for McDonalds, and I've NEVER gotten it to work there either.

And before you say "People without Wifi are a dying breed," no. That's not an excuse. That's an AWFUL excuse. Even with the number of people that have WiFi over those that don't, limiting content to Online Only is STILL limiting those that can use it. In-Game content is NOT limiting, because EVERYONE can use it.

So, yeah. If you have WiFi, you might like it. If not, stick to Platinum or HGSS. And the worst part is... It looks like they're BARELY going to address this problem in B2/W2. Pokemon World Tournament? Big deal! PokeWood? Whatever. Medal System? Forces you to get creative. I swear, if they ever remake Ruby/Sapphire, and they get rid of secret bases, Battle Frontiers, and Super Contests, and limit it all to Online Only, I am going to be super POed.

The good points weigh out the bad points, so... Yeah, love it. Besides, B2W2 are probably the best games in the franchise so far.

You are comparing the first set of games up against the 3rd game of that generation which is unfair as every 3rd game has come with extra features as B2W2 has done.

Yeah, there's no battling in the battle frontier.

But I can see where you are coming from, we have yet to see the full capacity of this generation so wait until its finished, a good number of years yet, and judge then.
