5th Generation may be coming?

OK, I've thought about this. Why the hell would Satoshi end his series with 493 pokemon. 493. The most random number ever. I think that if the series would end, they would end with a 550, 600 pokemon or something like that. What do you think?

They would say something if this was going to be the last Pokemon game, but it's still way too early to start thinking about a 5th gen. Wait till D/P is released outside Japan, then it'll be time to guess what the 5th gen will be like.

I've heard at least seven generations were planned. If true, that would mean three more to go. I think one thousand Pokémon would be nice to end with. It's absurd, but so is four hundred and ninty three.

Who knows how it'll turn out, Pokémon is one of Nintendo's biggest cash cows, and deep inside, everyone's green. So it could last really long.

Do you realize how long it takes for Games to get all around the world? On small islands they get all games about 2 years after America does, providing the inhabitants dont buy hundreds of copies off eBay or something.

Actually, don't. I looked in every nook and cranny I could find, but I still couldn't get even R/B/Y where I live.

On topic: I'm pretty sure they will release more generations; it's just rather early to think of a 5th generation already when D/P hasn't even been released in North America.

One thousand would be decent. It seems like way too much, but variety is good - especially with approaching online play. You don't want to battle multiple trainers who all have one of the same Pokemon.

I'd only like 1000 if they manage to make 500 decent ones, though.
