Okay, well, you need to post Movesets.

Use Slaking over Stamie for this team, since you don't really have a Tank.

First raise your pokemon so they are at the same level. And if you haven't used your master ball yet I recommend you to using it on Rayquaza because you can capture it even if you didn't beat the elite 4. But use Slacking but make sure you have ethers, elixers, and PP Ups with you beacause it is a good strategy using Hyper Beam and then when Slacking is supposed to rest it recharges.

Adamant Nature (+Att/-SpA)
-Return

I always liked hyper beam on Slaking because it gets stab and benefits from his amazing attack. Id go with Slaking not to mention he looks cool hehe.

However, it means that he can't switch out on the off-turn, and Return kills most things that Hyper Beam does.

But wouldnt he be doing an off turn with return too? Hyper beam recharges during his slack off turn. Return would be doing almost the same thing except a little less damage i think

Using Hyper Beam on Slaking is perfectly fine in-game imo.

It's when you come to competitive battling that you need to know the benifits of using Return over Beam. As you will ko with Hyper Beam, but then your opponant will likely send out, say, Heracross. Heracross usually has Choice Band and will OHKO with Brick Break. Now

- If you had used Return to OHKO, then you could switch out to your Gengar or Salamence which can easily switch into the incoming Brick Break

- Using Hyper Beam means that you have just lost Slaking, as you cannot switch out the next turn unlike Return

But yeah, in game hyper beam is usable, as the AI isn't going to send out a max attack CB heracross.
