yeh, in japan you can get certain trainer e-cards. swipe em and you can battle that trainer through the door.

Yes too bad, but can you use the ones from Japan? Or they dont work on English versions?

Unfortunately, FR/LG isn't compatible with the e-reader, so you can't even use THAT with it, let alone Japanese e-cards.
