I really hate though that Galarian Darmanitan gets Flare Blitz and Alolan Ninetales gets...nothing of a useful flame attack whatsoever.

Kingudora

My favourite
Of course that line will still be true regardless of whether they reveal more forms or not, but I would be surprised if they showed everything already as far as new pokemon/regional forms go.
I doubt that they have played out all their cards yet. Considering that Game Freak showed less than a third of the Galarian forms before release, it leads me to believe that there will be a few more new Galarian forms in the expansion packs other than those that have gotten shown already.

In Darmanitan’s defense, that’s probably because it becomes part Fire when it goes into Zen Mode.

Speaking of which, kind of weird that it’s called Zen Mode given he actually gets angrier in this form...

It's not a game Kate.
The moths were the same species, adapted to blend in with the white and black patterned bark of willow trees just some individuals had more dark parts to their wings and some had more light parts to their wings.
I'd love a regional Venomoth based on that. Though tbh Dustox would be kind of cooler. Then of course there's the problem what to do with Beautifly...

Though since the black/white moths are the same species...
A Bug/Dark Galarian Dustox with dark/black wigns.
And a Bug/Fairy or Bug/Psychic Galarian Beautifly with pale/white wings?

Sorry I know this is an old post, but what you were saying about a variant Wurmple line based on the peppered moth fits with Klara's bow looking like a regional Dustox.

It also makes an ice type Pokémon actually useable in battle.
I actually had trouble with Melonie because of her Zen Mode Darmanitan. I didn’t even know she had one with that Ability and it caught me off guard as I was relying on Fire Pokémon to sweep her entire team in one go. Eiscue wasn’t a problem for me at all and the others took two hits at most but that Darmanitan refused to go down.

One regional variant I could see coming is Jynx. I've always seen the Jynx line and the Mr.Mime line as sort of counterparts. Considering Mr Mine now can have the typing Jynx has (Ice/Psychic) it might be Jynx gets one that becomes the type Mr. Mime had (Psychic/Fairy).

You! Me! Rivals! Yes?
Just going by their looks, I'm guessing the types for the Galarian legendary birds will be Fire/Dark for Moltres, Electric/Ground for Zapdos, and Ice/Psychic for Articuno. Those first two I'd be okay with, but I do hope Articuno ends up being a different type combination than Ice/Psychic because we've just had Galarian Mr. Mime with that type. I would've liked Galar forms for some other legendaries, like the Johto dogs, but the Direct trailer showed most of the past legendaires in their regular designs, so that probably won't happen.

Maybe it’s because of a Delta Species card I remember from back in the day, but I could see Galarian Jynx going the Fire/Psychic route too. The combo has a few reps but not a ton - Victini, Zen Mode Unovan Darmanitan and Delphox iirc. Throw in a regional evolution and it would still complement Galarian Mr. Mime perfectly :)

I thought the consensus was an Ice/Ghost typing for Articuno; another underused type combo only represented by Froslass

That could also be very cool. I do want more regional variants that are fire type.

I’m thinking of all the first gen that had nothing added to them, first to mind is venonat/venomoth. No regional, mega, new evolution. If we narrow down those Pokémon it might give us ideas on which might get a new evolution or regional form. If legendaries can get regionals the skys the limit. I would still like to see Shadow Pokémon be a thing

I was thinking a Fire/Electric Jynx that lives on a Volcano and is based on Pele, and gets a new evolution called Priflara. Also, it would have a very rare type-combo which is a mix of Magmar and Electabuzz's types, the former counterparts to Jynx.

I'm personally hoping that they continue to give Meowth a new variant in each region, or maybe multiple if we get a new one each expansion pack as well. So far, Meowth has the most variants:
  1. Kanto: Normal, pretty basic cat
  2. Alola: Dark, more fatter and selfish
  3. Galar: Steel, hardier and more aggressive
Also, Galarian Meowth showed off how some Galar forms have split evolutions (like Yamask), while Alolan Meowth just showed off early in Alola how Alolan forms work and how they look different. My ideas for future forms:
  • Isle of Armor: Fire, a docile melty-ish Meowth that lives near geysers, which evolves into a tanky Fire-type Persian variant
  • Crown Tundra: Psychic, a highly intelligent Meowth with a pearl on its head instead of that coin.
  • Sinnoh (remakes): Ghost, Meowth has a wisp of smoke stemming from its head and walks on all fours, with Persian's variant is very creepy. It's attack and special attack are both good, and it learns a wide variety of moves
  • Unova (remakes): Fairy, Meowth has adapted to be much nicer due to pampering and overfeeding. It has a pink coloration and a visible tuft of hair. Also, it gets some OP hidden ability
  • Kalos (remakes): Fighting, this Meowth variant is visibly bulkier and its evolution has great stats in everything but HP and Speed. Kalosian Persian gets a Mega Evolution which goes somewhat upright and has big boxing glove hands
  • Johto (given LGP/E we might actually get Johto remakes) (day): Rock, has adapted to traveling through caves and over mountains, lot of stamina (Has that ability), but it is diurnal and only comes out during the daytime
  • Johto (remakes) (night): Ice, has adapted to cooler mountainous environments and caves, very speedy and acts as a special tank, this Meowth variant is nocturnal however and only comes out during the nighttime

Whilst that's some solid logic look at slowpoke line, the most recent line to get a regional form included in the game. I mean Slowbro will be the first Pokémon to have both a regional form and a mega, and Slowking will be the first crossgen Evo to get a regional form ( though the first line to have both a regional form and a cross gen Evo/prevo was the Mr.Mime line Pichu line).

New Galar Pokémon I’m hoping for are Glameow/Purugly based on Manx cats and rely on rolling attacks and using their bodies for battling, Misdreavus and Mismagius becoming a dark leaf green and part Fairy to become Banshees with a new Ability where all Sound based attacks inflict damage, and a Drudgion that is more uniformly colored and larger to look more like a medieval dragon.
