A badly shaded Quilava drawing

[i dont know 2 A.K.A. quilava lover]

I know it is very badly shaded

I could use some advice I did this on microsoft paint and it was my first computer drawing ever.​

Read Renegadez's scratch sprite tutorial in Fan Sprites, because it's more about pixelart. Like a sprite, the outline should be one pixel thick, and shaded. Try to shade it like the Quilava sprite. The flames need outlines, and so does the eye. The eye should also be red.
