It was one of those normal days, and when I was about to play my Pokemon Emerald, a message like this appeared.

The inner battery has run dry. Game can be played. However, clock-based events will no longer occur.

I have two questions:

What will no longer occur, as said by the message in my game?

And how can I fix it? (if I can't, what can I do?)

This means that you can't grow berrys anymore. Try changing the battery.

You'll have to send your game to nintendo in order to fix it... Your saved file will be erased though...

Don't forget TV events, apprentice and the lottery.

Thank you. T__T *sarcastic*

Yeah, I guess I'll have to do that. Too bad I live very far away of wherever is Nintendo located. I live in Chile... I guess I'll have to live with that.

It's the battery located in your game cartridge. You can change it yourself but it usually isn't recommended. Find your local nintendo website and email them for info on sending it to them. As for what events... well you can't grow berries, you can't get the sale-out tv shows, swarms either.... anything that requires so much physical time to pass.

When does the battery run dry? Is it after some-odd hours?
EDIT: yeah, I know what you mean Poke King, it's kinda scaring me too.

Unfortunatley this will happen, the game's clock runs on a battery, and they all run out some time. I don't know exactly how long it takes for the battery to run dry, though.

I believe that if you send it to Nintendo they will just send you a new cartridge, but if you do have a gaming store in your area you may be able to have them change the battery without having to erase your save file.

Don't worry just turn it off and then turn it on. It happens......or you did something wrong and screwed up the clock thing(like me when my mom washed it...).

Ratiosu381, have you been reading the topic at all? Several posts in this topic indicate that is not the problem, particulary Jessie's post right before your own.
