A Charizard or Dragonite

[Ash's Charizard]

i just had to ask as my freind and I were arguing for ages about the pokemon and who is the most powerful non legendery. I as you can probably tell by my name i think that a charizard at full strength is a serious force to be reckoned with , just look at ash's charizard who flamed mewtwo,destroyed magmar,held its own agiainst an entei that was technically speaking an illusion and not defeatable after flying 200 miles and saving ash's life, took out half of garys team (scizor,golem and blastoise) and managed to defeat an articuno and the best thing is its not even at full strength yet.
My freind argued that on his games his dragonite could learn hyper beam,thunder,twister etc is bigger and generally better.
Dragonites may have the better abilty to attack move wise but i think the charizard are portrayed as having a very innate sesne of honour and being very vicous when need be unlike dragonite. What do you think??? who do you prefer or think is more of a force to be reckoned with?? also if neither which other non legendery would you prefer? thoughts please i really want to get hear thoughts on this

Technically, neither are. Any Pokémon can be raised to be strong. It's not the species.

Does this really have anything to do with the anime, apart from just small example about Charizard? I think not. It's even summed up by the quote 'in his games'.
