Secrets
You think you know the real me?
We’ll there’s much in me you will never see.
There are things I simply cannot tell you,
And although you’ll beg,
I simply cannot tell you.
You will hate me for the things I won’t tell you,
But will you hate me even more if you knew?
There are things I simply cannot tell you,
And though you shall beg,
I simply cannot tell you.
I hate having to keep you in the dark,
I want to tell you like a dog wants to bark.
But there are things I simply cannot tell you,
And though you shall beg,
I simply cannot tell you.
Unbearable Pain
How long until this pain recedes?
It’s eating at my sanity.
It steals my breath and pains my gut,
It blurs my vision and makes me want to throw up.
It hardens my fragile heart.
It spurned hate into my soul,
And spite into my mind.
It’s driving me insane.
This pain, this unbearable pain.
The pain of loss,
Of sorrow, and of rage.
This pain that born hatred in my soul.
The pain has been here since you left me,
You threw me into the cold,
And made me feel helpless,
Like a newborn pup that can’t see.
Since you left me…
The Elements of Change
The Wind calls my name,
The Earth speaks my wisdom,
The Ocean beckons my love,
The Fire burns with my passion.
Death calls for Life,
And Life calls for Death.
I call for you,
And you push me away.
Then you called for me.
You gave my name to the Wind,
You made the Earth speak my wisdom,
You made the Ocean beckon my love,
And the Fire burn with my passion.
So, should I show you the scorn you have shown me?
Or should I welcome you back, like you never betrayed me.
Now the tables have turned.
The Wind whispers my words,
The Earth shakes with my anger,
The Ocean swallows that which I oppose,
And the Fire sparks from my passion.
The Elements of change that beckoned for me,
Now listen to me,
They understand my words,
In the way that you never could.
That is why it can never be.
You don’t understand me.
It never was, and never shall.
So stop calling for me.
Stop making the Wind call my name,
And the Earth speak my wisdom,
And the Ocean beckon my love,
And the Fire burn my passion.
You can keep calling for me,
But you had your chance.
I’ve moved on, why can’t you?
Do you now regret the cruelty you showed me?
All I know is that which the Elements have given me doesn’t exist within you,
Never has, and never will.
Searching for Love
Can you hear me?
Can you tell I’m hurting?
I thought not.
No one really knows what goes on inside my head,
Because there are secrets there,
Secrets upon which you cannot tread.
There are times I prefer solitude,
But when I desire attention,
It never comes to me.
So few appreciate me,
Perhaps it is because I keep things to myself,
Perhaps not.
Oh how man never thinks before they speak,
Often hurtful words escape their lips,
Words that make me doubt all I believe to be true.
Why can’t they let me be?
I cannot survive if they keep pestering me.
Always they question my sanity,
Just because I walk a different path than they.
And although I am young,
It is true love that I desire,
A love untarnished by time,
A love that will hold true.
