What is 'Berry Fix' and what is the point of it?

Why are the pictures of the Pokemon on Emerald in the Pokedex (http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/257.shtml) different to the pictures I see on my emerald game? Is it because they are taken from the American game or taken dureing the animation rather than when they have stopped moving or is it something else?

When it says location in the serebii pokedex (link in above paragraph) which game do they mean with XD as game name?

1) In Ru/Sa, clock-based events closed after a certain amount of time, IIRC. Berry Fix is just the term used to describe the way of fixing this (name derived from no berries growing).

2) They're the animation frames.

3) Uh... Pokémon XD. >_> The new game in Orre.
