okay here are a couple things that I've always wondered
1.does recoil damage work for bide?
2.how can I get rockslide on a torchic?
3.how can you tell a fakegame from a real one?(not considerong the obvios ones i.e. it says ruby version but it has psyduck on the front)
3.when trading between games, does it have to be a special link cable? (I'm trying to trade between sap. and emerald but it keeps saying please wait, does it take time?)
4.does anyone know the u.s. release date for torozei and mysterious dungeon?
hope thoose weren't too many or too stupid questions

Fake games are typically lighter in color . You'll also notice that many of these game pirates that sell the fakes on E-Bay say something like "only opened once for testing purposes".
Once you start to play the game, obviously a tell-tale sign of a fake is broken or mis-translated English. Finally, your game might even eventually corrupt if it's a fake.

1. I'm really sure, but I think that a Biding Pokemon doesn't get Recoil Damage. I think that because Bide only records the amount of damage you have receiven, not what attacks were used or if the opponent recieved damage from it.
2. Either take it to a Move Tutor in Fire Red, Leaf Green, XD or Emerald who teaches Rock Slide, or breed it with a Camerupt with Rock Slide, or any other Pokemon from the Ground egg group who learns Rock Slide.
3. I have no idea. Never seen or played one.
4. Also no idea. I live in Europe.

3. Some things I noticed when I bought two fake Emeralds:

  • The colour on the box will look a little strange, and the printing on the back is kinda blurry.
  • The shiny pattern on the front may be different.
  • The sticker on the cartridge isn't shiny.
  • The cartridge is normallly, the right colour, but sometimes may not m=be translucent and may even be gray.
  • The cartridge is SLIGHTLY bigger than normal GBA cartridges. It sticks out of the slot.
  • The manual is usually printed badly, if there is a manual at all.
  • If you get any message when loading the game that is something like "the game can be played", it is fake.
  • If you see ANY of those, your game is probably fake. It's most likely that you'll see almost all of them if you have a fake game though.

3. (You did two 3s) What kind of link cable are you using? Make sure that you are using a GBA link cable and not a GBC or GB one.
