A couple questions

Ash's Pika Pal

some have to let go
-If your game gets corrupted could that harm your game?

-Can that same exact game get corrupted more then once?

-The Mew guy traded with a cheater and then later on the Mew guy traded with me. Could my game be infected? You see he traded Mew over to my Emerald, and then later on I traded Mew to XD and then to LG. Could Emerald,XD and/or LG be infected?

1) Not likely. The file can undergo all sorts of damage without affecting the game.

2) That's just as likely as it getting corrupted the first time. If the game restores the previous save properly, then it should be fine. If it doesn't, then perform a factory reset (hold Up + Select + B on the title screen) before starting a new game.

3) Your games will only be infected if the Pokemon you received in the trade was created illegally. If the game you trade with has been cheated on, but the Pokemon is legit, then your game will be fine.

it shone! ^_^
Hmm... On my Emerald, I typed in the warp code on my AR, warped to Far Away Island, and caught myself a Timid Mew.

Does my Mew count as legit, since I did catch it in the place I'm supposed to? (And it doesn't appear on FAI anymore, implying that there was only one Mew.)

No, it was caught using cheats, mew was given as a pokemon for trade in america

But surely it would just be my method of catching it that was illegitimate, not the Mew itself, as it came from Far Away Island?

If I'd just used an encounter code to find in anywhere in the game, then sure, that would be an illegitimate Mew.

Well its really debatable and its a matter of opinion also. Some say its legit to use warp codes and say encounter codes are ill-legit while others think that either way its ill-legit.

Isn't it cute ^^
Your game will be corrupt if you used a GS or a AR or Xploder. and if used on a previous save file your new save file will also be corrupted.
and about the Mew, it will not damage your save file.it is Legit

For Mew most will say it isn't because only the japanese were able to get mew like that legally. Using a warp code allows for you to goto the place and freely soft-reset for whatever mew you want, something noone else can do legally. That is why it isn't legit.
