I could already picture Professor Sycamore finding out that Zygarde Core and 50% Zygarde being one of the same later on in the series, assuming he's already known about Zygarde before through old books. So when will it take Team Rocket to realize that their Giga-Giga Meowth machine is still weak compared to a mega evolved Pokémon?

Their own arrogance at overestimating their mechas and having them fail against Mega Evolved Pokemon was just like a running gag at this point.

A pretty boring episode. It was surprising to see a Joy in Kalos with an Audino, but that was it.

Considering how rushed some of the events of XYZ happened I really wish this episode was used for actual plot instead.
