I think that Sneasel can evolve by trade while holding a quick claw. One reason is it has very sharp claws. Also I've heard it has very good speed. So the quickclaw would make it faster and give it bigger and sharper claws. What to you guys think?

Notice that in order to get pre-evos of Marill and Wobbufett, you need special items? Or that pokemon with new evos in G/S/C always used new methods that wouldn't have existed in R/B/Y? Sneasel will likely follow this trend, since anyone could have traded Sneasel with a Quick Claw attached already.

Except that the Quick Claw was available since G/S/C. That would only harbor confusion for past-gen players, and it would raise the obvious question of why they didn't bother to implement it before.

Sneasel will definitely evolve via a new item or mechanism, and I severely hope it isn't a trade evolution.

It would make sense, though it is true that the items are ones that you only get once. If anything like this occurs then it's likely that it would be a one time get item that would be similar to quick claw.

Then there's the likely fact that it would be a standard level up evolution.

Sneasel I gues will ervolve with a new item, like whoever it was who said it will make less sense if its an old item cos it never happened punned punned before. apart from the expection of snorlax (munchlax) will have to find out and wait and see.

but quick claw no i dont think its likely and brw prediction is not hyphenated!

Would you care to explain that a little better? There were a few words that don't exactly go together, or make sense in the way they were used. From what I got, it seems to just be restating/agreeing with what Wolf Goddess posted, so it's not too much of a problem.

But this topic is about Sneasel. If you mean that Sneasel will follow the trend of the other baby pokes evolving through hapiness then you're mistaken. Friendly evolution has been around 2nd gen as have Sneasel, so sorry, try again. :-/

Like everyone else before me said it will only evolve via the use of a new item that can only be found in dp. Also where did you find out that it had good speed because little to no info has been released about manyula.

As others have stated. Why would they use an old item to make an older pokemon evolve into a newer pokemon when they could have done that before???? They make new items like....sea incense and others that I can't think of. As to how it will evolve I hope it is just level.

Sorry my mistake. What I meant to say was I hope that is something where you don't have to trade it to either D/P depending on which one you get. Like just an item that you have it hold and it evolves or something along the lines. But I'm sure they are gonna make it hard to get or they might make it a wild pokemon.

hey i guess that can work with the trading items with pokemon have a simular characteristic like what you said with the sneasel, also maybe they could add more moves like what they did with volt tackle (i'm sorry if someone has already said this i didnt get to read all the messages) maybe say smelling saltwhen a pokemon holds a sea insence.

Edit: it would be cool to also have to so that you can have the parents have 2 different items so that you can get different pokemon abilities like 2 sea insence = will only sleep for one turn
