Difference between the Game and Life

The world of Pokemon is a vast and wondrous place. Nobody knows how many species of Pokemon exist in our world but many believe that up to a thousand are currently living today. With many more being discovered everyday that number may rise within our lifetime. Pokemon, what are they? They are our friends, our pets, and they have a place within all our hearts.
There are many things in the Pokemon world that has changed or been changed to better sell a product. That product was a game in which two men from Petalburg City created to target a younger age group. They sold an idea in which kids at a very young age could begin a journey of their own and become Pokemon Masters. They also broke down the regions to create four games, to again sell more products.
The truth of the matter is anyone who wants to become a trainer must go to school. You start at a young age of about five to six years old at Elementary School and finish up when you are eighteen in the Academy. After which you are giving your first Pokemon, which depends on the town or region you live in, along with all the items you will need to begin your journey. Most of these graduates never leave town or they just settle down in which ever town they decide to live. A small percentage of the kids that venture out into the different regions, compete in gyms collecting badges or ribbons at contest. These few will venture out to become Pokemon Masters or Grand Coordinators.
Another aspect of the game which is false is the challenging of the so called Elite four of the specified region before fighting the champion for the crown. In reality it’s a rarity to meet any of the members of the Elite, as they are called, in any region. Also you never get to face the former champion, unless they decided to pay a visit or entered again into the tournament.
Lastly, the whole concept of beating the Elite four and then the champion will make you a Pokemon Master is completely false. It takes a lifetime to become a true master and be recognized as one. To become a true master you must first become a Regional Champion. After doing so you must go and collect eight badges of the sixteen badges from any of the Elite trainers. After collection the badges and being Regional Champion, you must present them to the Pokemon Committee. After doing so you will be eligible to partake in the Grand Master Championship which is held every ten years. The first sixteen to apply will have the honor of dueling to become the next Pokemon Master.
There have been ten Grand Master Championships in the modern era. The first Grand Master Championship was held in Kanto in the year nineteen eleven. Out of the ten true masters only five are know to be living today. Four have passed on since winning their championships. One disappeared after earning the title in nineteen fifty one. The other five are currently living all over the world.
So as you can see there are many differences between the game that was created to generate money and the real life aspects of the Pokemon world. Many have tried and failed in becoming a master but still hundreds arrive to seek the title while hundreds give in. The common theme in both the game and in the real world is that the journey will be long, and you must trust in your Pokemon to advance.

The boy lay in his bed awaiting for the day to arrive. His excitement almost unbearable, staring as the seconds ticked one by one on his clock. He lay there as his long awaited life as a student had ended and soon his dream of exploring the world would begin. The thoughts of leaving the institute he had grownup in filled his heart with sadness. He knew that one day he would have to venture out into the world but his memories of happiness and sorrow engulfed him. He brushed his heavy blue blanket off and got up out of bed. He rushed to the bathroom and starred at the mirror. He saw himself not as what he was but what he would become. His short black hair glistened as tiny drops of water reflected off as he washed his face. His dark brown eyes starring back at him with confidence and poise. He had done it, he thought to himself. After four long years of training and sacrifice at the academy, he had reached his goals. He realized that new goals were ahead of him, as he wiped the dampness off his face with a towel. In a few more hours he would begin the journey of a lifetime. He kept wondering what adventures his new life would bring him. He returned to bed, placed the blanket upon him and fell asleep.
