A new game

I have both leaf green and emerald, and I plan to start a new game on one of them, but every time I start a new game, I actually "plan" my future team as I choose my starter, but now, I'm just planning on going through and whatever happens, happens. Any comments on this?

sometimes it works better to plan your team, but all you really need to beat the E4 is to have a balanced team at high enough levels.

You should probably get HM slaves though, rather than teaching the HMs to random pokemon

Yeah, I agree on planning, because for LG you can't trade to R/S/E until after Island 6.

Just start over on the game you like the pokemon better in it. Then you can have a team of pokemon that you like.
