Chapter 1: The Search Begins
-------------------
The early sun starts to raise high in the sky, the pokemon near Nugget Bridge of Kanto open their eyes to start the new day. Even Bill the infamous pokemon collector yawns and slowly wakes up this early in the morning.
Near his house is a huge burrow underground with alot of twisting tunnels, that seem to be like a maze. The burrow's main chamber was filled with straw and even a dirty blanket, four pokemon were nestled up togather. A Mudkip, a Houndoom, a Raichu and a Clefable.
The sun's rays started to fill the opening of the burrow, which slowly woken up Mudkip. She opened her eyes and quietly did a yawn. As she noticed it was a new day, she slightly smiled and crawled out of the burrow and smelled the fresh air. "Today's going to be great!" she exclaimed, like she always did every day.
Turning to mind back to the others, she noticed that they were still asleep on this perfect day. "Time for that secert weapon." she chuckled to herself and started to wander toward the small little hill in which the Phanby's and Donphans lived. They were all still sleeping, as they usually wake up a little later in the morning.
Mudkip jumped on top of a small flat stone and turned her head to the Donphan on the very top of the hill, the leader of his colony and also the one to wake up every single Donphan and Phanby. Mudkip breathed deeply in and fired a direct water gun at the leader, whom quickly woke up in a rage. Mudkip quickly ran behind a bush to hide and covered the spots where her eardrums were.
The Donphan leader started to scream out his pokemon cry, very loudly which woken up the others whom started to shout their cry loudly in reply too. Causing a chain recation of a echo of loud sounds everywhere which woke up every single pokemon in the route.
Mudkip's colony of random pokemon, woke up with a jump and banged their heads on the ceiling, "Eh... not again...." groaned Houndoom shaking off the dirt from his head. The furious echo also made Bill's new invention fire it's ray gun at him, turning him back into a pokemon. "Aw crap." he said.
When the sound echo was ceased, Mudkip quickly hurried back to his burrow still chuckling to herself. "Works everytime." The leader of the Donphans noticed Mudkip running a way. "Could that be the rotten pokemon who has done this thing just to wake up everyone, every day?" he wondered to himself, he decided to follow.
Mudkip returned to her burrow to notice that her colony was staring at her, grumbling. "S-sorry, a-again?" Mudkip asked sheepishly.
Mudkip's colony forgave her and they all sat around the entreance of Bill's house, eatting cheese and bread that Bill gave them after they helped him turn back into a human, he of course forgave Mudkip too.
Mudkip is a female Mudkip who was the leader of the group and also Bill's best friend. Ever since this route was getting more and more packed with Pokemon, it was harder to find food and many Pokemon fought over them. Mudkip and Bill had once strike up a deal, where he'll give them cheese and bread everyday, he was also the one who gave them the blanket that was kept in the burrow.
Houndoom was vice-leader of Mudkip's colony. He can be a bit timid, but when he gets upset he WILL get angry. He watches over the group and was the one to dig the tunnel.
Raichu was once a Pikachu who is still very powerful and still the main protector of the group. He once gotten in Bill's house and found a thunder stone. Not knowing what it was for, he accidently evolved himself into a Raichu. But thanks to that, he's even more powerful.
Clefable was once a pokemon that was released by it's trainer and happened to end up in this route. Around the time she arrived, Raichu was battling a Pidgey and decided to use Attract to make things a little easier. However, it didn't work on Pidgey, but Clefable saw it and became attracted, so she joined the group. Raichu didn't mind, in fact he loved it. Althrough, he is a pervert at heart sometimes which made Clefable unattracted to him. But she decided to stay in the group.
"Mudkip, would you please stop waking up us by using that echo?" Raichu asked Mudkip, bring the subject back.
"Yes, I still needed two more hours of my beauty sleep." Clefable yawned. Raichu's tail quickly gently wrapped around her, so she can be close to him. "Don't worry, you'll always be beautiful to me." Raichu blushed.
"Raichu, you do realize your failing." Clefable rolled her eyes, very tired of this. Raichu sighed and few she was right, but would he give up? Heck no!
"YOU!" a voice shouted at Mudkip, it sounded angry.

"Who's that Pokemon? It's Team Rocket!"
"Prepare for trouble." Jessie started.
"Yes and make it double." James replied.
"I can't believe the auther decided to make fun of this break thing that happened in the old anime." the director sighed. "Cut!!"

(Now back to the story)
"YOU!" a voice shouted at Mudkip, it sounded angry. Mudkip and the others turned their heads terrified and saw the Donphan leader glaring at her. "I've finally found you after weeks of creating the 'echo'! I'm going to roll you through!"
Donphan rolled into a ball and headed toward Mudkip. Luckily she dodged. Problem was, he headed right toward the burrow and destroyed it completely. He gotten back on the feet, felt dizzy and fainted.
Mudkip and her friend's started big-eyed at the ruins of their tunnel, even Bill who looked out the window. Their mouths just seemed to drop open.
"NOOO!!" Clefable cried, while holding onto Raichu, forgetting who he was. Raichu just slightly smiled. "If the burrow wasn't destroyed, then this would be 100% Heaven.." he thought to himself, his nose started to slightly bleed which Clefable quickly noticed and slapped him out of his thoughts.
Houndoom glared at Mudkip. Bill saw this coming and quickly closed the window. "MUDKIP!!!" he shouted. Mudkip tried to run but Houndoom quickly caught up with her.
Epiloge:
And so, since their burrow took two mouths to build, Mudkip and friends decided that they should leave the route and find a new home. And perhapes the next route won't have any food problems. So packing some food and their leftover stuff from their home, they left and headed toward Cerulean City.
Meanwhile....
Two Pidgeys were flying out of the route too, thinking that tomarrow there will be another loud echo again....
"Ugh, let's go quickly. I can't stand this place anymore." one chirpped. "Ye- HEY LOOK OUT!" the other one called.
"Wha- CAW?!!" The Pidgey replied, as it flew smack into a tree trunk not noticing it.
