The Wind, the Egg and the Noibat!

While heading towards Dendemille Town, Hawlucha finds an egg left alone in a forest. Bringing it to Ash, the group decide to try and get it to hatch and when it does, a Noibat appears. Noibat instantly bonds with Ash and Pikachu, but on bonding with it, they learn that the Noibat has not learned how to fly, so Ash & Pikachu put it through training to teach it how. Will they get Noibat to fly?

Comments: I think Luchabull did a good job here. He protected Onbat from danger. Hopefully they will be a good teammate later. I have not seen an egg for a long time. Overall it is a nice episode.

Comfy episode, and I have no complaints. Ash, Noibat, Hawlucha, Fletchinder, and Bonnie are so precious here, especially Ash and him being able to calm down Noibat. My favorite part is Inkay and Pumpkaboo laughing after accidentally attacking Team Rocket as if they were two highschool ojous. Ohohohoho~

This episode was very nice all around. Noibat is incredibly adorable, and will no doubt be a favorite among fans for some time.

Besides the fact that Noibat was hatched, Hawlucha shined hard in this episode. Not only did it find the egg, but it also actively helped to teach Noibat how to fly and helped it escape from TR after they were netted by them. (Of course, him knocking off the Noibat-themed ear plugs from TR's ears in the dark with the assistance of Noibat's sound waves was hilarious). For those that are doubtful about Hawlucha's character development since forever, perhaps its battle in Laverre City Gym, its part of the battle vs Shota, and its role in today's episode will hopefully change your minds - it has grown by leaps and bounds ever since it joined Ash's team.

Of course, not going to forget Fletchinder - not only did it help accelerate the hatching process with its now-confirmed Flame Body ability, but it also helped teach Noibat how to fly.

And shoutout to Pumpkaboo and Inkay for attacking TR at the cave's entrance thinking that they were Hawlucha and Noibat - you guys are the real MVP.

Overall, this was a well-rounded episode. Most of Ash's Pokemon got at least decent screentime doing some relatively great things, and Noibat is no doubt a great addition to Ash's team. Can't wait to see how that little guy develops (especially in the next regular episode).

Hey Team Rocket looked up what Noibat is going to evolve into. which is similar to when they did this to Goomy. Also this remind me of the Goomy episode a bit, but unlike Goomy Noibat had to have Hawlaucha help while Goomy protected his friends

I'm somehow surprised that they'd show Fletchinder's Flame Body ability in such a way. I kind of did not expect this from the writers. Great job.

Noibat is just adorable. I've not been fanboying this much for a cast's Pokémon since May's Torchic. I wonder what this little baby will be capable of in the future.

Nah, it's way too late in the saga for another release, unless it leaves in some one year filler gap like Sinnoh, or a BF-like saga post league.

It said something that Noibat is making more progress in this episode then Axew is in a whole saga.

the episode itself while nothing special was still solid and it also nice to see Hawlaucha get some much needed screentime in the past 3 episodes. Also Noibat is so cute that I want to hug it if it was real.

Really cute episode. Fletchinder using Flame Body to help hatch the egg was a nice touch.

I'm really liking how they're getting into the habit of having Ash use multiple Pokemon each episode where appropriate.

Noibat was always the main Pokemon I wanted Ash to catch in Kalos and seeing it now is such a pleasure. Can't wait to see it shine in the future, because it looked really great in this episode.

As others have already said, Hawlucha was the MVP and it was hilarious seeing him BTFO Team Rocket in the cave. Props to Inkay and Pumpkaboo too for attacking their trainers. I thought they were gonna blast themselves off this time.

I don't blame TR for trying to steal Noibat. I would too if I was in the anime. Noibat is too darn cute for it's own good. The episode was alright, nothing uber special but I always enjoy Pokemon interacting with Pokemon and helping a brother or sister out. So Hawlucha with Noibat was downright adorable. Very good dynamic with the flying Pokemon. Ash was used well here too, so good job there. I want that Noibat! I want it.

Great episode.But who drew Fletchinder in this one should quit or be fired.The poor creature looked like 4 different pokemon the whole episode.It's the most butchered pokemon in terms of design.
