A Question on Mankeys

Hi.

I've been trying to breed Mankey for the past few days, and I'm still unable to get a mankey with a "careful" nature. Is it even possible? Coz I heard that there are some pokemon that can't have all the possible natures.

Thanks!

Well it's possible to get every nature with every Pokémon FYI. The chances are the same apparently. But the Snowlaxes I captured tend to be either Relaxed or Lax nature XP.

The nature doesn't bother that much, maybe a few stats. Why are you wasting your time if the difference is so small?!

Haha, that's right. Plus, it seems to bother me a lot for some reason if my pokemon don't have good natures. I mean, why not make them the strongest they can be?

very nice high five!
It takes time. Evantualy if you keep breeding you will get all the natures.

Well I did it rather easily for Pichu and Squirtle, so. :/

I just bred a Mankey with a careful nature, thank goodness. :)

Next: an abra with a bold nature!

Thanks to all who have helped.

y do u want an abra w/bold nature, which ups defense and lowers attack, when the best nature for abra's is mild, which ups sp. attack and lowers defense

I'm the same as The Landlord, i dunno why but it reeeeeeeally seems to bug me if i have a crappy nature, especially for my starter, one that really DOESN'T do me any favours, lol.

Congrats. Why do you want those nature for the Pokemon? The nature you want doesn't really help them in battling.

Lowering defense for Abra is a no-no. Its defense is really low already, and lowering it further just spells death against fighting pokemon.

If you really have to lower something, it has to be Attack.

And also raising its Special attack when it's like... sky high already is a bit of an overkill, so might as well put some in Defense. That's where I'm planning to put my EVs on as well: Sp. Attack and Defense.

Sorry for bumping. I just had to get that out.

EDIT:

The natures I'm trying to get is mostly going against their weaknesses rather than their strengths so that they become a bit more well-rounded. I've seen instances where an Alakazam got owned by a Primeape with karate chop due to its low defense.

modest nature is better than mild for abra
