On my old profile i remember haveing a tough time with raquaza, but now i remmeber how long the battles were,i have a question if i am in a battle with raquaza with 50 + plus turns and use the timer ball will it be as good as a master ball? if so about how many turns does it take for the timer ball to do its work.

*Sorry if this is the wrong forum*

timer ball is never a sure thing, but after 10 turns, i think, it's better than an ultra. and after 20, better than a repeat (in case you've traded a rayquaza to the game, to make repeats work.)

Timer Ball increases effectiveness every 10 turns.

From the first turn until turn 19, its Catch Rate is x1. The same as a Poké Ball.
From Turn 20 to Turn 29, its Catch Rate is x2.
From Turn 30 to Turn 39, its Catch Rate is x3.
In Turn 40, it reaches its highest Catch Rate: x4.

For reference, Ultra Ball's Catch Rate is x2.

Master Ball most likely has an infinite Catch Rate, which means Timer Ball can never compare.

Still, after 40 Turns, a Timer Ball is twice as effective than an Ultra Ball. It's the highest you can get, even. Save for Nest Ball, but your Level needs to be 8 times the opponent's Level, which puts all Legends out.

So, yes... Timer Ball is your best bet. But it'll NEVER have the same Catch Rate as a Master Ball...

I never really did figure out how the timer ball works, I was once in a battle with regirock for over 50 turns and I threw one and it broke out, maybe its just my luck...
