Has anyone had a pokemon that doesn't want to forget a move at the move deleter's house? If so, do you know what might cause such a thing?

I've never had a problem deleting even HM moves, but a friend of mine has run across the above. The pokemon was not traded, it was caught with the current trainer ID.

This really puzzles both of us and we haven't been able to find an answer anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

well, what pokemon and what move? you can't delete a pokemon's last move, and i don't think you can delete surf if it's your last pokemon to have it.

If its the only pokemon with that HM then it will not forget it, what i also found out is a pokemon with only one move wont let its last move be dleted.

The pokemon in question is a Linoone named Ziggy. He knows four HM moves.

Cut, Rock Smash, Strength, Surf.

Any given one of the moves had been able to be deleted, save for surf. The game was reset back to the last save after the test. It was not the last move the pokemon knew. And he had been the only one to know any of the other mentioned HMs. A test was made with a Milotic on another pokemon cartridge, and it easily forgot Surf despite being the only poke on that game to know it.

It's just this one Linoone that's being a bit of a pain.

Any other thoughts on this would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

well, you can't delete your last surf while your on what the game counts as an island (anything touching water, including lilycove), and you can't release them either. They come back.

really, this is all new to me also. This is the second one that has answered a question, I didn't know I had. Sorry if it is a spam.

So ya, I agree with them. just get like 4 poke with surf or anything else and you should be fine.

I'm having the same problem as well. My Swampert won't forget Surf.

...WHAT? 4? 4? 4!!! I'm not going to waste my Pokemon just like that. If only my Swampert would forget that Surf...

Who knew Pokemon was so weird?

Like what Prof. Birch said, Pokemon is full of mysteries.

If it's the only pokemon with that HM then you can't delete it until you give the same HM move to another pokemon
