a question

A question just popped into my head, on R/S/E if you bump into a lati@s in the wild (not the southern island one) and it's shiny but it flees, will it still be shiny when you find it again? This hasn't actually happened to me but I wanted to know.

I don't know about that seeing as that never happened to me

It can't be shiny. It is preset at the start of the game. The one on the southern island can be shiny

I like pie.
it's still the same pokemon, i mean it's stats and nature would be the same in every battle, so it probably would still be shiny

it can be, but like you said it is set at the beginning of the game, meaning odds are it will never be shiny.

you'd basically have to start a game, beat the elite 4, find it, and then start a new game if it's not shiny.

or you could save infront of the TV after the E4 and then go hunting if its not shiny then soft reset. but this was is far too hard compared to the southern Islands (thats how I got my Latis)

^^ That doesn't work. It's preset at the begining of the game. So whenever you start a new game you have a 1/8,192 of it being a wild shiny.
