Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
Modest Nature (+Sp. At, -At)
EV's: 252 Sp. At / 16 Sp. Df / 240 Spd
- Overheat
- Hidden power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
One of my favorite leads. Also makes a very nice revenge killer. Might change this to Stalktran with LO and switch Machamp for a bulky Mence, but then I lose a good lead, a nice revenge killer, some speed on this team, and I won’t really have anything else that can lead well. Unless, of course, I ignore the second restalker and switch Champ for Mence anyways.
Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sandstream
Adamant Nature (+At, -Sp. At)
EVs: 252 HP / 140 At / 116 Spd
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute
- Crunch
- Earthquake/Stone Edge
This guy was originally meant to beat Blissey/Cresselia, stop Raikou, stop Suicune to an extent, and break a stall. He was not really meant to sweep or stop its counters, which is why Earthquake is there to hit Raikou and Crunch for a reliable hitting move.
However, I still might switch to Stone Edge to hit Suicune a little harder, but he loses to other Tyranitar then. So the debate is between Earthquake and Stone Edge. I also was thinking about Ice Fang for Dragons and ttar counters, but as I said before, he wasn’t meant to sweep.
At any rate, Substitute almost always guarantees this thing 2 DD’s. As some of its counters are pretty shaky, they are 2HKO’ed by Crunch because they aren’t used to that kind of power when it comes to countering DDtar. Obviously, Skarm still walls this and will Whirlwind it away, but once again, I never meant for this thing to sweep (although it still can with proper setup)
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Df / 90 Sp. At / 32 Spd
- Calm Mind
- Wish
- Hidden Power [Fighting]/Psychic
- Thunderbolt
Should I use Hidden Power [Fighting], or should I go with the standard Psychic? Hidden Power [Fighting] is a very nice surprise for Weavile, Tyrantiar, and Magnezone. Fighting and Electric doesn’t make that bad of a combo either. However, it shouldn’t really stay in on those pokes (except for Magnezone), so its real purpose is to prevent Magnezone from beating it. However, it may be able to take care of Magnezone anyways, but it still makes a nice surprise.
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Sassy Nature (+Sp. Df, -Spd)
EVs: 252 HP / 132 Df / 32 Sp. At / 92 Sp. Df
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock
Thank you Fighting Master for the EV Spread. No Hypnosis, sadly, but Grass Knot 2HKO‘s Swampert.
Machamp (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
Adamant Nature (+At, -Sp. At)
Ev’s: 212 HP / 16 At / 180 Df / 76 Sp. Df / 24 Spd
- Cross Chop
- Stone Edge/Ice Punch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
I was thinking of using Ice Punch to take care of Ttar’s problems (Donphan, Hippo, Breloom, Gliscor). I also was thinking of using Life Orb with No Guard and Dynamic Punch, but I'm not sure of that because of LO+Sandstorm damage. At any rate, while asleep, it 2HKO’s Swampert with Cross Chop.
Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Calm Nature (+Sp. Df, -At)
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Df / 40 Sp. At / 4 Sp. Df
- Charge Beam
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Although 2 restalkers aren’t necessary on a team, they are pretty helpful. More than once, on some of my other teams, I have sent out my restalker to absorb status then wish I had another one to absorb status instead of letting my one and only restalker get slowly worn down. Also, thanks again to Fighting Master for the EV spread.
I might have trouble with spikes/rocks, but, anyways, rate away.
