well i thought about this last night after rewatching the tsutarja capture episode and it's rather bothering me. when ash and co sit down to eat only pikachu and iris's pokemon are shown to actually eat anything. this could be that since dento is just now being established to being the chef. they didn't want to over do it by showing him create a huge meal for all the pokemon right off the bat. or it could be another reason which i'll touch on later.

but i have to keep thinking about sinnoh where most of the time every ones pokemon was out and eating interacting with each other. and i don;t know about the rest of you but i find that infinitely better.

and i guess this brings me to the other possable reason for not having the other pokemon out. miju has that cute attention seeking thing. poka has that abandonment thing (which i actually don;t think will see any more of but it's something). and most importantly tsutarja has the what ever is going on with her. but the sheer amount of effort they put into really focusing on it makes me think that it'll deffinately play a large role at some time.

so my point with all this is maybe the writers are avoiding showing the three starters having normal interactions becuase they feel like it will mess up what ever story line they have planned for said pokemon. it'd probably be a pain to have all three act in character when interacting with each other and the other option would be to have them just not be incharacter so to speak while eating. so maybe the writers just feel like only having them interact when in episodes designed for that purpose.

now admittably they might start eating together later on so this thread might become pointless but for the time being i think it's a worthy discussion.

any ways discuss do you think theres a reason for the writers taking this step. and how do you feel about the pokemon seemingly not eating with each other do you think it's a shame?, don't care either way, or are you glad to not have so many pokemon around at that time?

Well I don't know why everyone glazed over this but Pokabu is the one with the attitude. Mamepato is the modest one, Tsutaja is the arrogant female with the "***** , please!" attitude. Mijumaru is the one who is epic.

Who cares if what Pokemon hasn't eaten with them. To be honest, he would have more mouths to feed if Ash were to let all of his Pokemon eat whenever they eat. It's like always feeding your two dogs when your on a picnic instead of leaving them home. I really think that people are starting to get upset at the smallest things that comes up whenever there is a BW episode shown. It's starting to get pretty silly.

The fact that we don't see characters eat 3 meals a day (every time a day passes during an episode, some take place over multiple days) doesn't mean they don't eat, it's just not often a focus of an episode. Even when we do see them eat, it's often for just a few seconds before rival/friend/COTD/TR approach.

i really like best wishes by far my favorite series so far and this is the only thing about it that bothers me. so i don;t know what you mean by seeking out any little thing to complain about. at any rate seems like people don't care that ash's pokemon eat off screen i just liked it better when they didn't. any one have any thoughts on why the writers choose to do it this way or is that another thing people don;t care about?

This is silly.

For the record all of the group's Pokemon weren't seen together until the 9th episode of Sinnoh. That was also the third or fourth time the group made camp since they were all together so they had opportunity to do so before that episode. This is the seventh episode of Isshu and the very first time the group made camp together.

Just give it time. It's too soon to say they've done away with it.
