A tribute to an actress fanfic- What you guys think?

Yes, the guy who said he would create a story called Vengance, The Fore Goddess, Lost, Renegade Seviper- A story where Ash and co goes into the real world and still haven't out them up (RS is like 7 or so pages thought and I dropped the Lost fanfic that deals with Pokemon and the members here).

But I thought of another idea for a story and wanted to hear what you guys thought of it, but I have four (Or three) busy weeks ahead of me since I am finishing my last assignments forever,m preparing for Graudation and The Formal, so the story probably won't be started until after schoolies week.

Title: Unknown at this point

Summary: Not much of a summary just yet,.
A 29 year old woman decides it's time for her to start a Pokemon Journey. But when she goes out, she will be haunted by a dangerous secret admirer, Team Coal who's bent on the destruction of the world.

That'd all I got, and yes it is a trainer fic but I am going to add twists and storylines, it may be a long while before she even reaches the 3rd gym. So I* am gonna try and make it not like the boring trainer fics (And there are no Professer *Insert name here*, seeing how the main character is 29 years old,).

The reason for a 29 year old is because I wanted to make a fanfic dedicated to my favourite actress, Amber Benson.

Also one more question: Do you guys think it's a good idea to put Shiniou Pokemon in this story? (I wouldn't mind putting Giranta there, Ah, already another plot is coming into my head), or should I just use Houenn/Kanto/Johto and perhaps wait until the english names for the Shinou Pokemon come out? (We all know people will ask who are they because of the Japanese names, also I would have to keep going to the pokedex to check it's the right name and I don't have the ney on my computer...yet anyway)

I like the idea of a different approach to the trainer fic, though you should give her more motivation than 'I want to go on a Pokemon journey.' She's 29. Why wait until now? What spurs her into deciding this? What is she leaving behind? Does she have any idea what she's doing as a trainer?

Also, why would Team Coal become interested in her? If she stumbles into their plot, okay. If an ex is involved and wants to bring her in, that's more motivation. Why her specifically?

As for the Shinou Pokemon... I don't know. It depends on where you start her. If you start in Shinou, then yes, by all means. If not, you can pick and choose. But don't have her encounter... say... Giranta just for the heck of it. The common Shinou Pokemon, sure. But, as with the case of all of the legendaries, don't just throw them in for the heck of it. And with the names, you can always go in and edit the names once they're revealed.

1) Okay, I had an idea about this but it seems to have disappeared, I will have to think about this more, there are plenty of possibilties just waiting

2), Well they don't come upon her just yet, but they try to destroy the world, they don't specifially follow Amber and she doesn't specifially follow them to stop them until later in the games because she doesn't know about thier moviation but you just gave me another idea on the ex thing....Now my mind is rushing through alot of scenarios like as you said, her ex trying to get het to help destroy the world or something..

3) Good point, and Giranta will be there for a reason, but like Team Coal, she won't know about Giranta or what he is doing (But we will probably see Giranta ourselves). She more focused at the start on training Pokemon and going to the gyms, and also trying to run away from her deadly secret admirer.

I don't exactly see how this fic is a tribute to this person. All you're doing is making a real-life person into a character for your story. That is not a dedication or tribute of any kind. You aren't writing it in her honor or memory. It is not bringing out an idea or philosophy of this person.


In any case, fine, your main character is 29 when she begins her story. Why? Why didn't she start at the usual age? Why did she wait almost twenty years? Won't she have a huge advantage over other beginning trainer's because she's so old?

And then she suddenly has a bunch of stalkers. Oh yay, another Team --- bent on destroying the world? As if Rocket/Aqua/Magma/Cipher/Snagem/Galaxy wasn't enough? And why are they following this specific girl?


I feel like you're just writing about Amber and Team Coal for the sake of it. You don't seem to have a specific plot in mind other than "old trainer gets caught up and tangles with Team Coal who seem to be obsessed with her". Do I smell a self-insert of sorts?


I suggest you just think ti through a bit more before actually getting to writing it. Think of what you want to do and where you want to go with this fic, and if there's really a point to it...

Oh, I didn't think that it wouldn't be considered as not a tribute, how do you think I should turn it to make it a tribute?..

Actually, all those teams you mentioned used Pokemon..Team Coal doesn't use Pokemon and they aren't trying to to bring some old legend Pokemon about, when I mean bring Earth to destruction, I meant guns, bombs, mass murders (So it's more rated PG 13 actually). And they aren't following her, not for now anyway, they won't actually encounter her until like later chapters, maybe the 5th gym...

I know I had a plot of why she was 29 in my head, but it disappears and then I keep thinking of another reason why but thart's reason seems so...What's the word? Overused..

And don't worry, I have 5 weeks to think about this. Since I am not writing it until after Graduation/Formal/Schoolies. Plus, unlike Conquering Houen and others, the chapter won't be completed in a day. I plan to sit down and actually think about where it goes, how it can be improved, How she will encounter Team Coal (Like maybe she's in the town at the time they do mass murders and almost murder her and lands her in hospitial but not dead so now she's a witness to them), Why/How Giranta is watching her. Why her secret admirer loves her, and the most important of them all: Why she starts to train at such a late age. (Hmm, an idea already forming in my head, I am gonna start writing these down).

BTW, She won't have any evovled Pokemon or anything, but she... Hmm getting another idea here, perhaps she never got interested in Pokemon journey but when she ecounters an injured Pokemon she decides to, but that reason sounds crap..
And she won't get her Pokemon from some Professer or wake up late and say "OH KNOES I AM LATE!",

Edit: Also, with the Pokemon, who should I use as a starter? And what other Pokemon do you think I should use? (Don't worry, I won't use Eevee/Pikachu/Charmander/Squirtle/Bublasaur/Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip/Pocchama/The new fire starter/The new grass starter)..
I have already got a Voltorb in mind for one of the team members (Won't be the starter), but he isnbt very fond of Amber (Not a Pikachu clone, I thought ii's personality would fit Voltorb because it always looks angry).

Should I use Pidgey/Spearow/Talliow/Mukkura? Or would they be too over used?

Edit 2: I am gonna do the setting in Houenn, but there will be Shinou Pokemon in Houenn (Fanfics don't have to be exactly like the games/anime do they?), but I am using Houenn because I know those Gym leaders better then Shinou (Althought that woman, I don't know her name, she might be a Gym Leader/Champion, but she has a long black coat and long blonde hair, whatever her name is, I would like to use her but I don't see where or how she would come into the plot)
