Okay, so I know that if you transfer a Pokemon over to D/P from Emerald or whatever, and then evolve it there is a chance that it will change traits. I also know that unless you evolve it, the trait won't change.

However, does anyone know if it's pre-determined whether or not the trait will change. If, for example I'm trading a Magnet Pull Magneton and want to evolve it into a Magnezone. If I clone them on Emerald, and say the first one changes to Sturdy, could I just keep trading over Mag's until one doesn't change or does it not work like that?

Any help would be appreciated.
