about Ash's Pokedex...

uh.. in the eipisode when Ash, and the others are all at oaks lab, I saw Ash's pokedex look like the FRLG one. DId it say it got upgraded, because, technically, it would be a downgrade from Hoenn dex to Kanto dex, or nationol dex, whichever one it is.

Yes, his Pokedex was updated to a new version. This should be in spoilers since the Oak Lab episode hasn't occured outside of Japan yet.

Professor Oak knows well enough that Ash has already been to the Kanto region once, so he wouldn't downgrade Ash's Pokedex. He upgraded it with software that's able to identify 4th Generation Pokemon, as well as any previously unknown facts about the other Kanto/Johto/Hoenn Pokemon.

That's why it was able to identify [SPOIL]Brock's Bonsly[/SPOIL] in its debut episode.
