About Bumping

When someone bumps a topic and 20 other people post in it not knowing it was bumped, who gets the warning? Everyone or the bumper? I have pondered this for quite some time.

If it was obviously bumped, I think there was no reason for the next posts, but definitely the bumper. There had been one case where the bump led to a new page, but still, it's a good idea to look at the date of an extremely old thread before posting. :/

I think they all get a warn for not bothering to check the last post date before the above poster. But, the bumper would get in the most trouble.

Like Ratiasu said it would be the bumper because most of the other posters don't know it was bumped so it would be the bumper who gets in trouble

I believe if a lot of people spam in the bumped thread, they get warnings. Does the bumper then take even harsher consequences for bumping the thread AND causing others to spam?

no, if others spam it's their own faults

Typically it's just the bumper that's warned, unless the next few people say something like "You shouldn't have bumped this! *reports*" and then proceed to post in the topic anyway.
