About linking

OK what do you need to link up in Pokemon FireRed to LeafGreen using a link cable. I got both games and a link cable. I got a National Dex and the Ruby and Sapphire things in the game. I link it up and talk to the one woaman on the far right and tried to trade. Well the message says please wait for 10 minutes. What am I missing? What is wrong? Of course I have the link cable connected too.

Did you returnvthe Ruby and Sapphire plates to cleo?

You need 2 give the R/S plate to celio. If you already did that, then I don't know what to say.

Well if you're just trading with FR/LG do you still need the plates? I don't think so...

Dude,did u read his post properly?It wasnt that long,it says, he got the Saphire and Ruby "things"
Uh,maybe u should try waiting 10 minutes den c what happens,or use the wireless adapter

Well I never got the second Wireless adapter but the next time I'll try it I will wait 10-30 minutes.

Does your link cable work? It shoudn't take that long, maybe one of the games was waiting for you to input a command, ie; press a button.

It might be the link cable itself, because I had a similar problem before (luckily I found another link cable). Because I can trade between FR and R/S/E just fine =/.

Yeah that happened to me but I got a new cable and it worked fine.
