No, because he'd probably need a special item from D/P to evolve. It wouldn't be levels because then ppl would question why it couldn't evolve before. Like Scyther needed Metal Coat to become a Scizor.

Manyula could very well be an excellent physical sweeper because Sneasels stats are pretty good.

Yes.One Swords Dance and it will be Sweeping off tanks with Slash.With a Better Special atck a Ice Beam could work better,and you can always equip Nevermeltice,so i think Manyula will be a Must have Pokemon in D/P.

I'd rather have Manyula capitalize on its STAB moves rather than be a "bigger Sneasel"; elsewise I fear it might run the course of Scizor and have an awesome Attack yet a shallow physical movepool. The physical moves that Sneasel gets are quite underpowered (physical sweepers don't thrive on Metal Claw, Shadow Ball, and a STAB-less Brick Break, and it's too fragile to be FPing anything), and while it does get Swords Dance it also receives Calm Mind and a fancy Special movepool (yanno, with moves that have a base power higher than 80) that can only expand. Besides of which, I love Sneasel/Manyula's typing; I would effervesce with joy if only it could acutally make use of this unique and interesting typing.

Obviously a new item will be made for it to be created, like previously said, a metal coat to Scyther and Onix made Scizor and Steelix.

I think that Manyula will drop its ice type, and either become pure dark or obtain a completely different type.

It's been confirmed that Manyula will be an Ice type (more specifically, a Dark/Ice type). In fact, it uses Blizzard in the eighth movie (but let's not concern the D/P forums with the anime).

I hope its Sp Atk is much higher as Dark/Ice is a great double type yet Sneasel doesn't have great Sp Atk.

...anyways Manyula's gonna be just a better Sneasel, that can actually make good use of Calm Mind for once. And people will probably wanna use it for that custom Dark move, Ice Beam, and whatever other stuff it gets (Didn't bother checking :/) DEFINITELY something useful, though. Maybe even one of those ridiculously overused types, like Gengar, Blissey, Skarm or whomever else you might love to hate (I certainly hate em )

And Dark/Ice isn't that fantastic a type. They don't cover each other's weaknesses, and it gets 4x to Fighting. Ewww...
