My LeafGreen cartridge seems to be a bit abnormal. It's front cover is somewhat lower than the back one, so if you feel it at the top, it feels as if there's a small drop. My brother's FireRed has the same problem, but not nearly as pronounced. It works fine in every respect. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this in thier LeafGreen or FireRed cartridges. Perhaps there was one bad batch that they made?

That is odd but nothing to really worry about. It doesn't affect your gameplay or anything so you should do ok.
It was just(maybe) a screw up.

You mean there's a sticker or cover like thing on the back of yours? then your game's fake. all pokemon games only have the cover sticker on the front.

No. Let me try to explain again.

The Gameboy Advance cartridges have two peices of plastic on the outside. A front one and a back one. My front one is a bit low in comparison to the back one, so they don't line up quite right. It's really only noticable when you hold it on the top and feel the unevenness. My brother's FireRed is the same, though not as pronounced. I haven't noticed it in any of my other games, so I was wondering if there was one bad batch of Pokemon cartridges.

That has never happened to me... As long as the game works properly, there should not be anything to worry about (unless there is a bomb in the game cartridge...)

Oh, I think mine's like that too. Where If you look at the top, the line separating the two is not in the middle, but up more? Because all of my GBA games are like that.

that's the way the sides of the cartridge are molded
I think what he means is the 2 side moulds weren't lined up terribly correct when they were put together.
If the space isn't affecting your game play... then don't worry about it.... it's a minor defect that happens in mass production.

The two pieces of plastic are supposed to meet at a very small angle on top. If this is what you're referring to, then nothing's wrong. If one piece is actually offset laterally, then it's probably a manufacturing defect, but nothing to worry about.

On the other hand, if your Leaf Green cart isn't green or the label isn't glossy, it's probably a bootleg.

It's definetly not a bootleg. I just wanted to see if it was a common defect among Pokemon games. This topic may be closed.
