When I shake trees, sometimes bees come out, I want to catch and sell them for 4500 bells but I end up getting stung, so whats the best way on catching bees?

shake trees.without even waiting to see if a bees are goin to fall open the menu,check on the upper screen if bees appeared,if they did,they won't sting you until you close the menu,get the net,close the menu and quickly catch one before you get stinged
if bees did not appear,shake other trees until this works

I keep on trying that, but I found out that they move in a pattern, first around you face, then they move in front of your face when you go to the inventory, but I dont know what to do next

So you've shook them down, you've opened your inventory. Equip your net and wait. After a while you'll see they circle a few times one way then for one 'circle' they'll be in a different position. They'll do that after the same number of normal circles every time. Learn the pattern and when they do the different circle quickly close your inventory and swoosh your net as soon as you physically can and if you've timed it right you'll have yourself a bee.

I'm not very good at it, but I've managed 2 or 3 times, good luck.

I wonder if the chances of getting bees are higher when you have the Golden Fishing Net (obtained when you donate every bug in the game to the museum)?

I think you mean golden net obtained [SPOIL]when you have caught every bug once, Tortimer gives it to you.[/SPOIL]
