"Acess is denied"

Well I got a new computer recently, and I moved the old hard drive into an hd enclosure and hooked it up to my new computer. I wanted to transfer some of the files to my new computer, but since I forgot to uncheck the "make this folder private" option, it won't let me acess it.
Is there anyway around this?

And btw, how can I change the save names on Battlefront 2 (for PC) without screwing up the game, since they all have names like "felucia0dbcf38a.rote" and "utapau0dc50e5b.rote"

Hmm.. I don't know if this will help, but try going into command prompt (Start >> Run >> type "CMD")

And write a cacls command like this:

cacls "NAME OF DRIVE" /P USERNAME:F
(name of drive like "C:\" , "D:\" , etc.)
(username is your windows username. If you have only one user, it will probably be "User")

Here's an example:
cacls "C:\" /P Pikachu:F

This will try and force full access (read, write) to that drive. You can do the same to folders you can't enter by writing the path to the folder after the drive name.

Still doesn't work, did a Google search on cacls, followed the instructions on Microsoft site, still won't work.
If it helps my account name is "Kevin" and the folder I am trying to acess is "E:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\My Documents"

If cacls didn't work, I don't really know what you can do. Try seeking professional help from a hardware forum/article of some sort.

*EDIT* I just noticed that there was an error in the command I had given you. I placed an unneccesary slash before the username. I edited my post, so try it now. Sorry about that one, lapsus calami.
