Acro bike

Can anyone tell me how to use the acro bike to get pass the white path (what ever it is called) in the Safari Zone or near the weather institute? I've beat the elite four in Ruby, and now in Emerald, I still can't figure it out.

uhh...well. using the acro bike on those paths requires the bunny hop: ride as far as you can onto the path. then press B and the direction you need to go to get onto the next fragment of road. eg if the path moves initially to the left and stops midway with parallel bits of track above it on the screen, ride to the end of the white path and press B+up simultaneously (ie at the same time). Like Shiny Mightyena said, i'll say like that too, hold B button until your bike starts jumping and then ride it in which direction you want.
