Ad-Aware

Hey.

I am having trouble with my Ad-Aware program. When I scan, the program stops at a file called riched32.dll. Is there a way in which I can fix it? What can I do? Please help if you can. I've been trying to run my spybot scans and Ad-aware seems to stop there. I have Spy Sweeper and Spybot too and they find nothing. But, I think sometrhing is up with the dll file. Please help. Thanks in advance!

Try scanning your computer while in safe mode (On my computer, you can activate safe mode by pressing F6 at the boot up screen immediately after you turn on your computer, but the correct F key varies between computers, so you’ll either have to guess or find your computer/motherboard’s manual)

It’s possible that the computer is using these files while the scan is running in a manner that blocks Ad-Aware from completing the scan. Don’t just go deleting random files though; you don’t know what might be a vital part of the system whose deletion could lead to program instability.

Odd, my Ad-Aware stops as well. I'm wondering whether there's a bug in the latest version.
