10/10 For ash dreams are everything. He believes that achieving your dreams is the ultimate priority. To give up ones goal is something he'll never comprehend, no matter the circumstances.
But that was May's personal choice to retire from contests. Ash should have no say in how his friends live their lives. That's up to them, not him.
Neither of these choices. Ash would, understandably, be incredibly shocked at her giving up on something she clearly loved. However, he'd fully support her choices, and help her find what she wants to do with her life, if she asked for his help. Whether or not romantic feelings are involved, Ash is an incredibly supportive person and he'd do his best to support one of his dearest friends.
Fully agree with this. I think Ash would try to convince her to reconsider initially but ultimately he's always encouraged his friends to reach for the stars. He never held any contempt towards Serena for quitting racing and while the circumstances aren't identical, I'd have to imagine he'd treat May the same way.
