Carlie: hey everyone’s showing off their Pokemon
Chris: yah look at that guy hes putting on like a show
Carlie: wow his Pokemon look strong
Chris: A tentacruel, warturtle and a blastoise
Carlie: lets let our Pokemon out it seems like everyone’s doing it now
Chris: ok common out eevee, treecko, yanma, ralts
Carlie: you two guys torchic, beautifly, taillow, skitty
Trainer#1: hey look that girl has a torchic
Trainer#2: and that one has a treecko
Trainer#3: those trainers over there have some hoenn starters they are really rare
-Swarms of trainers surround Chris and Carlie
Trainer#4: I’ll give you my pidgeotto for it
Trainer#5: no no I’ll trade my ampharos for it
Trainer#6: please give me torchic for my Swellow
Chris: No I will never trade my Pokemon get away from me
Carlie: keep your hands off my Pokemon I’m not tradeing

-the two get separated from each other as the seemingly savage trainers demand a trade for their Pokemon

-a Trainer picks up eevee and starts to run away

-The trainer attemping to steal eevee gets blasted by a spout of water

-The little trainer goes running back down below in the boat

Carlie: why were those people so crazy about our Pokemon
Cody: well you see this is a Trading Cruise
Chris: a what?
Cody: many trainers come on these cruises to trade their Pokemon and some people get a little crazy
Chris: well I’m not trading my Pokemon
Cody: yah me personally I won’t trade my Pokemon either… I have a close special bond with all of them and I would never trade them away
Carlie: yah I just love all my Pokemon
Cody: although I did admire your beautifly… I just caught this lovely chimecho would you like to trade for it?

Cody: (hesitates) haha well um I thought um If I saved you from those other traders um you would consider my trade

Cody: there are these machines in the hallways of the cruise down below and if you place your Pokemon on the holes it will trade with the other trainer and you now have the other persons Pokemon
Chris: well I’m gonna go check out this guy that would be willing to trade an eevee for a dragonite I wonder why he wants an eevee so bad
Carlie: yyour youurr gonna trade your eevee?
Chris: oh never of course not I just wanna see why he wants one so bad
Carlie: well ok I’m gonna go with Cody down below to the dinner… I’m starving
Chris: alright I’ll meet you down there in 30 minutes?

-Chris head to the front of the ship
-Carlie heads down below with Cody

-Shouts from the distance

-claps come from the surrounding crowd

Trainer #8: yah my names Derek my ultimate dream was to become an eevee trainer
Chris: haha that’s funny cause my starter was an eevee
Derek: I’ll trade you my strongest Pokemon for it… a dragonite… they are very rare and strong and very kind
Chris: hahaha well thanks for the offer, but no thanks… I love my eevee and wouldn’t trade it for the world, besides I already have a dragonite
Derek: please please PLEASE I’ll give you anything… venasaur, steelix, snorlax ANYTHING
Chris: look I’m not gonna trade with you I just came by to …
-Chris stops talking

-Big waves start to crash against the side of the boat

Chris: I gotta go
-he jumps back on to the boat and heads down a stairway
-the boat finally sinks
Police Man: that’s either the bravest or stupidest kid I have ever seen

Flashes to Carlie and Cody

Carlie: I’m trying it won’t budge
Cody: keep trying ready on three
Carlie: one, two, threeeee
-they try to lift a board this is stuck on cody’s legs, but are unsuccessful
Carlie (thinks): oh chris where are you
-water starts to slowly fill the room as cody is stuck under a ceiling board

Chris: hey you can you help me, I can’t find my friends
Stranger: um hmm I um
Chris: hey its YOU… how did you get on the ship?
James: well we are stuck on this boat just as you are, who cares how we got here
Chris: well are you gonna help me or not?

Zeph: oh man I hope they are ok…
Police Man: don’t worry we will find your friends
Zeph: well don’t you think they would of come up by now?
Police: we can only wait and see
Zeph: I should have been there… on that boat… if I wouldn’t of tripped maybe they would of gotten off the boat

Jesse: hahaha yah right, but how about you hand over your Pokemon
Chris: never

Chris: well if it’s a battle you want, then it’s a battle you’ll get… go yanma, ralts

Jesse: arg I guess you win again
Meowth: I think I saw your little friend down in the eating diner, with that boyfriend of hers
James: hahaha better hurry up before you lose your lover Carlie
Chris: i don't LOVE HER he says angerly, well if your not going to help me leave me alone

-Chris heads down the ship and team rocket heads in the opposite direction

Carlie: hey look I can’t lift this up by myself and my Pokemon are just to weak, maybe you should use your water Pokemon
Cody: that’s a great idea, common out tentacruel, warturtle and blastoise… Lift
-they lift the ceiling board off of codys leg
Carlie: quick lets go
Cody: (lets out a violent scream)
-Chris hears the scream down the halls
Carlie: oh no your leg must be broken, here hold on to my shoulder
-the two start heading out of the diner with cody limping beside carlie

Flashes to Team Rocket
Meowth: hey look over there scuba suits
James: theres 10 of them do you think we should yell for Chris and his friends
Jesse: screw it let them find their own way out
-the three of them put on the suits and hed out a crack in the ship and start swimming to the surface
James: hey look milotic… they are hear to save us
Jesse: those aren’t milotic THOSE ARE GYARADOS
-the gyarados use hyper beam and team rocket gets blasted up and beyond the surface

Zeph: hey that sounded like some people screaming… lets go that way

Flashes back to Chris
Chris: Carlieeee Carrrrliieee
Carlie: Chris?
Carlie: where are you?
Carlie: overrr here
-chris turns down a hallway and sees carlie and cody down the hallway
Carlie: chris you found us
-they start to run down the halls to each other
-the ceiling in between chris and carlie starts to crumble
-the ceiling collapses inbetween carlie and chris
-the ground on carlies side of the wreckage starts to flood
Chris: carlie can you fit threw
Carlie: no I can’t quick help the water is rising pretty fast over here
-Chris trys and trys but can’t remove the rubble
-Carlies side starts to go under water
Cody: hey theres a trade machine inbetween us… at least we can save our Pokemon if we send them to Chris

-Flashback (gym battle against Brawly)
Brawly: well the gazors are ready now, so the next battle should be an interesting one… Machop you ready for the next battle?

Zeph: wow that’s interesting, ralts must know teleport

Chris: oh no ralts is soo tired from the battle against team rocket, do you think you have enough energy to teleport over their and get carlie and cody

Cody: when a psychic Pokemon uses teleport it takes a lot of energy and with the look on that ralts face it probably only has enough for one teleport
Carlie: well we need to think of something our sides at our necks in water
Cody: well you could trade you ralts over here for one of carlies Pokemon… then ralts could teleport us over there
Chris: but ralts is so close to me, I never like to trade my Pokemon
Carlie: its our only choice (cough) quick (cough) (cough) put ralts in the pokeball and onto the trade machine
Chris: ok you ready ralts I’ll trade you to save the lives of our friends
-they place the pokeballs in the trade spots…
-Carlie Starts to panic
-Cody has passed out
-buzz bing boop (trade machine sucks up the pokeballs and is in progress of the trade)
Chris: carlie are you still good?
Carlie: I’m a… her side goes under water
Chris: Carrrrlieee
-Chris starts to panic
-a pokeball comes out on Chris side
Chris: was the trade successful?
-long pause
Chris: nooo Carlie I was to late
Pshh CHOW
-ralts uses teleport and carlie and cody teleport next to them coughing up water…
Chris: carlie your alive
Carlie: yah thanks to you
Chris: quick we have to get out of here its starting to fall apart
-chris and carlie rush threw water filled hallways in search for an exit with passed out cody on Chris Shoulders…
-a wave comes down the hallway and sweeps up the kids and push them into a room
-they are trapped… they are pinned in a room that is starting to fill with water… it’s the end of the line
Chris: what do we do
Carlie: use your Pokemon, we can break the ship and swim to the surface
Chris: that’s miles of water I can’t hold my breathe that long
Carlie: your gonna have to, its our only chance
Chris: common out treecko, yanma, eevee
-chris grabs codys pokeballs and lets out tentacruel, warturtle, blastoise
-they all use an attack on the same spot
Chris: are you ready carlie hear we go
-BAM they make a hole in the side of the ship
-they quickly call back the Pokemon and get pulled out of the ship into the sea
-blastoise warturtle and tentacruel grab the three trainers and bring them to the service
-HUUAAAA breathe of air fills their lungs
-shouts from a distance (corphish do you see something?)

Chris: help were over hear
Zeph: corphish you found them
-Zeph is followed by the police and they help the friends get on to the boat
-they bring the three back to the poke center
-all the Pokemon are healed and recovered

Chapter 1 – Beautiful Beautifly

Chris: wow well I guess maybe we should of takin the next boat
Zeph: yah that probably would have been for the best
Chris: yah but hey it looks like you lucked out and caught a Pokemon
Zeph: yah it’s a Corphish
Dex: Corphish were originally foreign pokemon that were imported as pets. They eventually turned up in the wild. This pokemon is very hardy and has greatly increased its population
Zeph: (story turns into a flashback)
After I fell and your boat headed off into the distance I found myself bored sitting on the docks waiting for the next boat. Then I saw a corphish that was protecting a pair of injured horsea. Tentacruel were attacking them, I ran over there and grabed the two horsea and ran to the beach. The corphish looked at me and quickly dived down in the water and the tentacruel seemed to leave. While I was running to the poke center, I could see the corphish was following me. I guess it wanted to see how the horsea he was protecting were doing. When I got to the poke center I ran into two twins who were missing their horseas. They made a full recovery and left with their trainer. The corphish still seemed to follow me after the horsea were gone so long story short after a battle between butterfree and corphish I caught it.

Carlie: well it’s a great new member of our team, but Chris aren't you excited to see which pokemon you got for Ralts.
Chris: yah common out what ever you are!
Taillow
Dex: taillow courageously stands its ground against foes, however strong they may be. This gutsy pokemon will remain defiant even after a loss
Chris: cool a taillow, now i have a flying normal pokemon.
Carlie: but I got to get practicing. The Contest starts tomorrow.
Chris: wait that must mean we made it to Slateport City
Carlie: well were here now and that’s all the matters, so I gotta start practicing, how about a battle chris
Zeph: well Carlie actually contests don’t just relay on battleing, first there are appeal rounds where you use attacks and your Pokemon to appeal to the judges and audience.
Carlie: well which Pokemon should I use. Torchic, Beautifly, Skitty, Ralts?
Chris: why don’t you try beautifly its strong and fully evolved
Carlie: ok I’ll give it a try, common out beautifly

Carlie: ok I thought of something that could be neat for an appeal round. It combines lots of beautiflys attacks and would be dazzling in front of the audience.
Chris: cool can I see
Zeph: yah show us what you got
Carlie: no way its gonna be a surprise, now leave me alone I’m gonna train so I would like to be alone
Zeph: ok carlie good luck, I’m hungry Chris wanna go get a burger or something
Chris: yah sure sounds good, hey whats in a burger?

Car Driver: hey watch where your walking kid
Zeph: sorry, ok lets go Chris
-Chris and Zeph head to a restaurant while Carlie practices her appealing with beautifly

Carlie: Ok beautifly use poison sting now quickly use gust make sure you catch the poison sting
-The poison sting is caught in a rapidly spinning tornado.
Carlie: Now dazzle the audience with a stunning stun spore.
-The stun spore lands in the tornado and the barbs hit the spores, causing tiny explosions.
Carlie: Now lets finish this off use morning Sun
-The sun comes beaming down from the sky and illuminates all the little explosions in a radiant light.
Carlie: yah that was perfect beautifly were gonna win this tomorrow
Trainer: hey that was pretty good
Carlie: hey who said that?
Trainer: up here
-Carlie looks up in the sky to see a trainer resting on top of a flying creature
Dex – skarmory is entirely encased in hard, protective armor. It slashes foes with its wings that possess swordlike cutting edges.
Carlie: wow is that your skarmory?
Trainer: yah were just training out here for the contest
Carlie: your entering in the contest?
Trainer: yah it will be my third one, I almost won one once
Carlie: really oh and you look good
Trainer: people don’t realize how hard contests really are, like out of all the people that try out only 16 people make it past the appealing round. Its hard enough making it past the appeal round but when you make it into the battleing stage if you lose your out.
Carlie: oh um gulp
Trainer: anyways im gonna head to the Pokemon center to heal my Pokemon, I wish you the best of luck and I’ll see you at the contest

Chris: man this line is taking forever
Zeph: and I’m sooo hungry
Chris: well if we stay any longer we might miss carlies appeal round
Zeph: But I’m soooo hungry
Chris: we will eat after lets go quickly

-Chris and Zeph head to the stadium where the contest is being held

Announcer: alright here we are welcome everybody, but were a little behind schedule so lets just skip right to it, Let the Appeal Round begin
- Many Pokemon and people start appealing using many unique types of attacks. Some work, some don’t
Announcer: Well we have seen many amazing talented people and up next is a new co-ordinator From Littleroot Town. So raise your voice and get ready to applaud Carlie
Chris: oh its Carlies turn I can’t wait to see what shes got in store for us
Zeph: yah Carlie woot Yahhh
Carlie (thinks) – ahhh im soooo nervous, there are sooo many people watching me, what if I screw up, what if my appeal isn’t appealing to anyone and they start laughing at me. Ok I can’t do this I got to go
-Carlie Starts to run off stage
Skarmory Trainer: Carlie wait stop, you can do this
Chris: where’s she going?
Zeph: I donno do you think shes ok?
Skarmory Trainer: Carlie look if you leave write now you will regret this for the rest of your life. You have to get back out there and prove to everyone you belong here
Announcer: Carlie were waiting? Is Carlie in the building?
Carlie: ok thanks here I go, common out beautifly

Carlie: now use morning Sun!!!
Announcer: wow after a rough start she pulls off a beautiful performance with her beautifly, but was it good enough to impress the judges

Announcer: well with a total of 23.5 will she be able to make the cut, we will have to wait and see, ok lets continue with the contest

Announcer: wow what a beautiful entrance the crowd loves you

-The Skarmory Trainer puts on a dazzling performance and scores a 28

Announcer: well there you have it, just when you think this thing is over you would be surprised what can happen. Now we have one person remaining for the appeal round. Are you ready, let me hear you crowd!

Zeph: well looks like you don’t have to worry about her anymore seeing as she’s doing contests, I guess she’s carlies rival now

-The stars all break in a rainbow of colors and light up the stage

-The Crowd goes wild with excitement as they cheer on Serinas Performance

Serina: Well anyways I seemed to have lots of extra time on my hands waiting for the Hoenn Tournament and I thought I would give contests a go, it’s a great way to give some of my other Pokemon a try and harness the skills of my other Pokemon
Chris: well you have that very cute baby plusle, that seemingly perfect espeon, what else could you possibly have…

Announcer: will all the Contestants who have advanced to the Next Stage of the contest please report to the main Stage
Serina: oh well I guess that’s me. I’ll see you later?

Serina: use hydro pump to counter it

Chris: she isn’t going to be able to continue dodgeing bellossoms getting tired

-milotic gets beamed by a seemingly endless blades of leaves and is super affected

Carlie: yah way to go scarlet
Serina: hahaha

-bellossom gets beamed by a very powerful twister and is shot against a wall and faints

Chris: hey great job in the contest your milotic was amazing, I mean you were amazing, I mean…

Chris: common up and use shadow ball

-A powerful shadow ball beams Charizard

Serina: blind eevee… use smokescreen
Chris: no eevee where are you cough cough
Serina: now up in the air and use flamethrower
Chris: eevee you have to dig another hole before it burns you
-The flame ignites the smokescreen and badly burns eevee, but it escapes under ground
Serina: shake the ground charizard… USE earthquake
-eevee pops out of the hole shaken up
Serina: use steel wing and fire spin around you so it can’t escape…
Chris: use double team… and then mud-slap
-Charizards attack misses – eevees surround charizard and it gets confused and quickly covered by layers of mud
Chris: can’t fly if you’re covered in mud
Serina: Charizard use fire spin… gets your self out of there
-the mud hardens and starts to crack
Chris: this is your last chance eevee, use your most powerful take down
Serina: Over Heat
-eevee gets attacked by a direct hit of over heat and faints
Chris: eevee are you ok
