I want a tyranitar in my team with the following moves:

earthquake
rock slide
crunch
flamethrower

But I dont know which EV's and nature I should give them.
Can someone give me advise of wich nature I should give them and to wich stats I should give my EV's?

ok first replace flamethrower for omething else.
tyranitars special isn't that good and you'd better of with dragondance to boost the rest. nature would be brave (att+ sp-) cause if you dragondance the speed will be high enough. max out attack and put remaining ones in special attack (for chrunch [but not o much lets say 80), speed (again 80) and defences but a little more on sp df

Actually, Tyranitar has base 95 attack, which is pretty good. It's 134 base attack just screams physical sweeper, though, so i would remove flamethrower for dragon dance like milotic111 said, give it dragon dance, and let it hold choice band.

Okay, probably Adamant or Brave nature, and yep, Dragon Dance would be very good...I don't EV train...I train my pokemon in almost all the areas of the game to get all different EV's so check the EV guide on this site...

dragon dance and choice-band don't mix. so give it either choice band or dragondance. the nature i choose didn't reduce spatt so chrunch is still use able cause of stab. stab is needed by lak of ev training in the spatt

Chice band is really bad. You opponent can switch, or the next poke is immune to ur attacks.

I say a moveset of=
-Taunt (Since its awesome def)
-Earthquake
-RockSlide
-Another phsycal move.

taunt is best for someone with counter, so don't waste your tm/ move slot.

taunt is actually good on DDTar, because:

Tar used DD!
opponent switched in PHazer!
Tar used Taunt!
PHazing fails.

tauntrados, a common NB poke from a while ago, worked on this principle.

don't bother using it in-game, though, since people don't switch and there are relatively few hazers/phazers.

I think a good moveset for a Tyranitar is
@ leftovers (because it can stay a long time in battle)
adament nature (max out its EVs on speed and sp. attack
Crunch
Rock Slide
Earthquake and
Any attack you would like (I switch mine)

Right, first off, don't max out it's special attack unless that final attack is going to be something like Thunderbolt. If anything you should be able to get a decent amount of damage out of STAB'd Crunch without having to max out it's special - no?

If you're going adamant nature, max out speed and attack - this should work for a jolly nature too (a Jolly nature should also allow you to outpace a Starmie (according to smogon - if the Starmie is Timid)). But nah, don't max out special attack because it probably won't help too much. How about a dragon dancing, rock sliding, earthquaking, crunching Tyran?

How does jolly T-tar outspeed TIMID (+speed, -atk) Starmie. You may not have known this, but Starmie has a base 115 speed, while T-tar has base 61 speed. Do you know what that means? It means that with a nature to lower its speed, Starmie's max speed is 296. Tyranitar with a nature to raise its speed has a the possibility to reach 243 speed. That means that T-tar will never be faster than starmie, unless it raises its own speed or starmie's speed is lower.

Thank you for helping me I will go for the DD-tar with slide, quake, and crunch

pidgeotto

The Wish Maker
Tyranitar@lum berry
jolly:252 att./spd., 6sp.def.
earthquake
rock slide
aerial ace
dragon dance

Here's what I think is the best set for T-tar. Dragon dance and sweep:)

Hmm also I was thinking about:

Tyranitar Adamant

Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Rockslide
Substitude

But I think I will change substitude into aerial ace.

Frost Nova

The predator awaits.
tyranitar@lefties
adamant
DD
aerial ace
EQ/t-wave
rock slide

loling at third moveslot. physical sweepers need EQ to dish out raw damage.

T-Tar likes:

Adamant Nature,

Dragon Dance,

Rock Slide,

EARTHQUAKE,

and...........

your choice. T-Wave, Taunt, Sub, Aerial Ace.

T-Wave acts as support, Taunt is the standard, Sub to block status and Aerial Ace for Heracross and Breloom.
