I think there was a thread like this before but does trading a cheated pokemon affect my game ?or mixing records with a cheated game?

I dont want people to discuss about Ar or Gs because it is NOT ALLOWED I just want to know if it affects.

I don't think so. A cheated pokemon will not affect your game, it is a normal pokemon like all others, but just cheated.

if what you said is right then mods can close this now .

It also complicates trades sometimes with hijacked RBY and GSC pokemon, and others you can't get normally. Other than those, you're safe.

tradin a cheated pokemon to ur game can actually be detrimental to ur game.
I.E. bad eggs... missngno... which can destroy your game.
You never know when u'll get a good cheated pokemon or a bad one... so i suggest not doin the trade

I have an idea how to get the pokemon you want.
1. In the cheated game, breed the pokemon you caught with cheats, the baby pokemon that is hatched doesn't count as a cheated pokemon.
2. Trade the baby to your game and do then what you want.
Maybe this thing will keep your game safe.

well there are ways to get rid of bad eggs but thats another story......

i say get it.....the codes wont affect it at all....the only thing it does is add a pokemon to the game, if it does do somthing it will be to the game it was traded on..

not necessarily true... there have been a few threads that popped up where people traded cheated/bred-from-cheated pokemon that wound up giving the reciever's game bad eggs and such

I think cheating only affects the game that's been cheated on, if there's any effect at all. It's not like a cheated pokemon is a virus or anything, so it shouldn't affect the game that it's traded to. xD

I'm not too sure though, I've only cheated in GSC.

The cheated pokemon can act like a virus though, especially with the newer versions of pokemon. Nintendo and game freak have continually made changes to the pokemon games that work just like it.
i.e. bad eggs which start off as just being the cheated pokemon but spread to all the other pokes.
Also.... Nintendo and game freak have done a good job on colosseum with it detected cheated pokemon and disallowing them to be uploaded to the game. If you have further wishes to upload to the new pokemon diamond/pearl game i wouldn't suggest it either because i wouldn't be suprised if the new games have a similar item like colsseum that blocks those uploads. So... all ur "hard work" of cheating a pokemon would prove to be worthless.
