After a dang year...

Live Long & Prosper
Okay. Y'all might remember me as Silver Bonsly, the CRMT n00b of last year. Well, I've been trying to develop my team, and here is what I have come up with:

Heracross (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Facade
- Megahorn
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 108 HP / 102 Atk / 252 Sdef < I'm not the best EV expert o_o
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Spikes
- Drill Peck
- Substitute
- Roar

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef /
Modest Nature (-Atk, +SAtk) < Not good, I know. I'm breeding for a new one.
- Counter
- Selfdestruct
- Earthquake
- Body Slam

This is only a planned team, my final team is subject to change.
There aren't many serious trainers in my area who still play, so I can't test the EV training I am trying to do. Help is much apperieciated, just don't flame me out. :D

Façade is too situational in my humble onions. Go Brick Break when you need a fighting move just in case your opponent is too stupid to switch/can't switch, or Sleep Talk to absorb Spore or something.

Drill Peck + Whirlwind is illegal. Roar over Whirlwind, and if you want to you can try Substitute > Rest. Also, this EV spread works better--196 HP / 252 Def / Remainder in Speed and Attack (can't do math for her life @_@) Breed for Impish.

Those EVs...uggh. Breed for Careful nature. I don't have the EV spread at hand right now...so...can't help you very much with Laxen. All I know is that to counter you're going to need a LOT more Defense and HP.

if you aren't using any ubers in JAA you will most likely lose, everyone there uses at least 2 ubers pretty much

Posting to say that 0ma's sig sums up my feelings right now and for that, it wins the thread.

If this is for JAA, I'd go with rest>sub on skarm considering I doubt there'll be many maggies being used in the uber teams at JAA.

I wouldn't even use Skarmory in the JAA. Many stuff learns Thunder, and switching isn't as easy as it is in 1v1.
Staples:
- Mewtwo
- Snorlax
- Kyogre
- Groudon
- Swift Swimmer
- Chorophyllists
They are stapled to most teams.

Not so common stuff but can surprise the foe.
- Smeargle. If you know how to play this, You're in the money. Start with An exploder, have Smeargle Endure it. Send out a very fast Fake Outer and have it Fake Out the slower poke and have Smeargle spore the faster. Then, Smeargle Endeavors the pokemon that is awake and is followed up by the fake outer. Keep doing that until the foe only has the sleeping one left. Watch out for Ghosts, Extremespeeders and early wakeups

Would Zapdos be better than Skarmory? I just want to use one of the two, but if I can't...

To let you know, JAA does require you to have six PKMN, but you can only use four per battle. (You choose which four.) So, I would suggest you get a team that works really well in double battles with only four PKMN. Get two others to give yourself more freedom when choosing your four. Also:

IMPORTANT: After one battle in JAA, you can switch your teams around before the next round. Use this to your advantage. If you can, build multiple teams that revolve around different strategies. Before each battle, switch your teams so the person you just defeated can't tell another person what your team is or how to beat it.

I can't rate teams that well, but for the people who can, remember this:
Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys are not allowed.
Wobbufet holding Leftovers is not allowed.
The Hold Item Soul Dew is not allowed.

And for you, Mr. Chicken Lady, double battles, especially at JAA, will typically not last long. DO NOT waste time in a stall team, as your battle is limited to eight minutes. Also, when you build your team, become familiar with it. Since you will have only thirty seconds to choose each move, knowing where your moves are and the exact order of your PKMN can be crucial.
