Just saw the preview.

Well, actually, I didn't since it wasn't on the TV-Tokyo page, but I saw a screenshot of the episode on the official Japanese Pokemon site, and there was a Milotic...

Anyway, discuss (please).

Anyway, hopefully theres a longer preview at the end of Episode 158. I'm guessing since this episode doesn't come on for 2 weeks, the webstie won't have one till then.

Alfonso pointed out in another thread that she does indeed use a Seviper for the battle. Because he's cool like that.

And I'm very happy with that scenario. As long as the battle is nicely animated, and as long as this Seviper plays a more prominent role in the match than Milotic (hopefully with a really kooky moveset too), then I'll be as pleased as punch.

Milotic...cool Pokemon, no doubt, but I'm a little bothered that this would be the SECOND time a BF Leader has used the same Pokemon as a Hoenn Gym Leader (Greta had Hariyama...just like Brawly). I guess I'd just prefer a little more variety with the Pokemon choice, but hopefully this Milotic will have a very different attack style than Juan's.

Also, this means the battle should be at least 2 vs 2, meaning Donphan has a chance to appear as well as Pikachu (who was mentioned as appearing in the translation of a summary in another thread).

I'm not the only one who would be interested in seeing that, Serebii.

Milotic... Kind of an odd reaction here. On one hand, I'm glad that decided to give Lucy her own Pokemon from the games. On the other... well, it's kind of like what phoenix12 said. Another Milotic.

So far, we've seen what a Milotic can muster in battle. We know that it has control of Twister, can spurt the usual water attacks, and it's secret Recover surprise is no longer a secret. I want to know what's planned for it. Well, the new stuff anyway.

I disagree about Pikachu...I've actually really enjoyed seeing all of Ash's other Pokemon BUT Pikachu participate in the BF battles (as opposed to Johto/Hoenn, where Pikachu was in nearly EVERY SINGLE Gym Battle {besides Brawly...but still, 15 outta 16 Gyms is too frequent}).

Donphan, on the other hand, I agree with completely. It has yet to participate in any Gym/BF battle (I don't count losing to Pryce's Dewgong in the middle of nowhere as a Gym Battle), so now is the time to shine. It held its own in the one Johto League match, so as a Hyper Beam-shootin' Donphan it should do quite well, especially against a posion-type like Seviper.

But on the episode itself...well...*sigh*...Milotic...again. How many times must we see the damn thing? It's good to see Azami is keeping her original team, but SHUCKLE! Shuckle anyone? You know, the one who is down there with Dunsparce trying to commit suicide over their one-filler episode appearance and no battle time?

Other than that, I hope Azami is animated well, this is a decent battle, and I wonder if the Orienteering episode after this one will include Azami as well.

It seems like pikachu will need a decent opportunity to showcase it's new move and this could be perfect... donphan is a possibility for Ash's other choice, but no more so than any of his other three at this point.
