AG 166: 'Bonsly king and Manene queen?!' Speculation thread

Nope, the preview isn't up.

According to Bulbapedia, Team Rocket show up, and May finishes off the battle with Munchlax's metronome to blast them off. The Metronome attack is Uproar, and it separates Pikachu, Meowth, Bonsly and Manene too.

I was going to enjoy this episode, and now I don't think I will. Another 'blast-off and be separated' eppy.

Same old same old.

They could of at least found a new way to separate them.

Uproar.....hmmm seems the only partly interesting thing in this episode.

Another chance blown by the Pokemon writting team....
¬_¬
Still, after getting seperated, I see a filler like the one in the Orange Islands/Johto, the one where Meowth is mistaken as a God, but has to learn payday. And I hated that episode.

But still, it might turn out alright. But then again, it is the Pokemon writers we are talking about....X_X

this kind of episode seems the same to me every time. pikachu, meowth, bonsly and manene will all become friends until ash and tr come in and they turn on each other.

Yeah, ok!
What is so bad about this again? Eh?

The episodes where the gang or their Pokemon get split up are usually fantastic, and they pit the characters with a great amount of chemistry with one another.

Pikachu/Meowth we've seen a gazillion times, but Bonsly/Manene interaction should be great.

I'm looking foward to this one especially if Manene imitates Bonsly's crying, and Brock/James go nuts. :D

yeah we usually get awesome character interaction. There is also something missing in all of this that we dont know about because of the title.

I think I saw this before. It's the same thing again, so this episode looks like too be another wasted oppirtunity by the writers. Any Bonsly and Manene interaction would probably be the only thing worthwhile about this episode. I'll wait tilll the previews come out, but this seems like another crappy filler, with that "being seperated" plot be using again...

I just hope for some decent moments where James gets all precious about his manene... he's always good for a laugh when displaying admiration for his pokemon.

What do u reckon are the odds we'll have subtiles again?

I know that we havn't had subtiles since that one episode "Island of the Giant Pokemon", but we can always hope.

I'm sure it'll be like all Pokémon-only scenes since then: we only get an idea of what the other Pokémon are saying from the context of Meowth's responses.

Thriller

Its almost time
I just hope Bonsly won't cry like a little baby when he sees Brock is no where to be found. *Is interested what King and Queen is about*

if bonsly's king and manene's king, then who's the prince? o_O never mind i'd rather not know x_x

i think subtitles would be great. it's time we learn more about their actual personalities.

Well, the preview's up. And those who weren't able to see it before due to not having RealPlayer should be happy, because for some reason it has been changed to Windows Media Player o_O

The preview itself has to be the weirdest one yet. I'm very confused. First of all, the "omgemoz" music is playing, and they're these 3 characters who I think are directors. And these arrows keep on popping up and pointing to them?

Manene and Bonsly are obviously the stars of this episode and seems to do quite a bit together [they even have adorable yellow and blue scarves!]

My guess is the 3 pedo director guys want to put Bonsly and Manene in a movie...even Jessie is dressed up as an exec!

I would have a comment on this episode if I wasn't so damned confused right now o_O

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Hey, I think the director of the Pokemon movies has been turned into a Pokemon character? Is that why the arrow is pointing to him?

Bonsly and Manene are in a movie and Brock is in tears. This sure sounds different than what we were expecting.

I was freaked out when I saw the preview. It was so confusing. Those "directors" or whoever they are looked creepy. And it was different music... it didn't quite fit in with the preview but oh well. It looks like a crappy filler but we are long overdue anyways. Um yay for Manene and Bonsly interaction though. That should be the only highlight of the ep.

I hope that technique Manene is using after Bonsly lets loose with some Fake Tears isn't just a mimic. Would be awesome if it was a Psychic move~

I also hope this episode is as Brock-based as the preview leads us to believe. Would be nice to have this episode AND the upcoming contest ep as opportunities for him to step up to the plate.
But even if it isn't, its still looking like its going to provide a decent insight to Manene and Bonsly's personallities. And perhaps this is a chance for a nice relationship between an antagonist (of sorts) and a protagonist (...of sorts), which was previously shattered due to the decision of having Meowth forget about Skitty~

Though one has to wonder what the hell Manene would see in Bonsly...

Hah, always complaing about seeing only still images got me there. Now I can't see anything and only hear stuff!

Well eventhough I couldn't see a thing, I liked the music in the preview. It's what I needed to end my day.
From reading the comments above, I've become a little confused too. Oh well it'll all make sense in a couple days for me. If it's a Brock episode, I'm gonna be real happy.

Thank you, SPPf! :)
Yay, I can actually see the previews on my home computer now!

This reminds me a lot of the episode "Lights, Camera, Quacktion" way back in Kanto, which was one of the better fillers of the series. It would have been a nice touch if they brought back Clevon Spelbunk, but hey, they haven't been bringing anybody back this arc. Brock and James going all emotional could simply be part of the act. Part of this looks like another TR get-rich-quick scheme, but I'm hoping there's some comedy to spicen things up. That said, it seems like somewhat of a clone of "Quacktion", with two Pokemon in some relationship, TR trying to cash in, etc (although there's no cute girl to satisfy my fanboyish needs, pity).
Though one has to wonder what the hell Manene would see in Bonsly...
I could 'dignify' this with a response involving Bonsly's strange fluids, but I won't.
