Hmm, well this is my first time posting here (oooo, cool poke-smilies :D), anyway, I have a team to rate:

(goal: uber-less, cheap-shot-less, skarmory/blissey-less team of pokemon I like personally)

1.) Ninetales. [Flash Fire] (Nickname: Kimios)
Calm Nature. EVs: 252 Sp. Def, 128 Def, 128 HP.
Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Confuse Ray, Toxic.

2.) Absol. [Pressure] (Nickname: Nidiage)
Jolly Nature. EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP.
Return, Shadow Ball, Swords Dance, Roar.

3.) Gengar. [Levitate] (Nickname: Zhargi)
Timid Nature. EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP.
Psychic, Thunderbolt, Giga Drain, Destiny Bond.

4.) Clefable. [Cute Charm] (Nickname: Rimine)
Bold Nature. EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 128 Sp. Def, 128 Def.
Psychic, Thunder Wave, Cosmic Power, Rest.

5.) Golduck. [Cloud Nine] (Nickname: Violeun)
Timid Nature. EVs: 252 Spd, 128 Sp. Atk, 128 Def.
Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam, Calm Mind.

6.) Lapras. [Water Absorb] (Nickname: Sailia)
Modest Nature. EVs 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP.
Surf, Confuse Ray, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt.

*all female, all hatched. (don't know why I included names, oh well)

Well, a general team rating would be nice here. More than that, I've already hatched out everyone but Lapras and Clefable (and I like Clefable) so a good alternative to Lapras would be nice. I don't want any of those slow, bulky rock or fighting types though; this is a team of pokemon I personaly like, hehe. Anyway, thanks for your time! ;008; *wish wartortle was good in battle*

Ninetails wants WilloWisp over Toxic, to help it survive Physical Moves. Fire Spin isn't that good, because while Ninetails has fairly good defenses, they aren't strong enough to hold out for 5 or so turns while taking EQs or Rock Slide, even when burned. Plus I really don't like Fire Spin anyway. Good options are Protect, or Grudge. Ninetails also wants a few Speed EVs, for a fast Burn, Confuse, or Flamethower ftw.

Absol can't Roar, Substitute is much better.

Gengar's movepool is huge, and Giga Drain is one of his worst options. Focus Punch for Blissey, Snorelax, or Regice.

Clefable is meh, it works, I suppose, but IMO Toxic over TWave.

Golduck is cool. That set works, though I like Surf/Substitute/FocusPunch/CalmMind.

Lapras wants more defensive EVs and less speed, and maybe BoltBeam/CRay/Rest?

Your team will get owned by Snorlax without Focus Punch in there a few places, as You seem to be primarily special based. IMO you don't need Clefable, use a Heal Beller like Miltank. And you may want some Wish support for any of your Pokemon, Vaporeon is a great replacement for Lapras, as another bulky water.

Why hello Swampert, who laughs at every other move Gengar does!

First off, since when is focus punch good without a substitute/punch combo? Also, I don't have access to orre pokemon, so miltank is out, leaving only blissey for a healer i think, and she's too cheap for me. Oh, and why substitute on absol, don't substitutes usually die in one hit anyway? Finally, what does "ftw" mean?

For others: tuliver, why put those moves on my clefable? they're physical, she's a terrible physical <_< and two enfeebling moves on ninetales? (not being critical, just confused here, and what's 10charlimit mean?). Oh, rudoku and omastar, i have no idea what you're saying. Are you backing up what he said or making fun of him??

Side note, any other good place to put a roar type move? I'd like someone in there to be able to nullify enhancement moves. (oh yeah, and please no pokemon abbreviation terms, i dont know them)

Giga Drain is used so Gengar doesn't get raped by Swampert. He said it sucked, then suggested Focus Punch over it. He also neglected to tell you that Psychic isn't great on Gengar.

Just stick Roar on Lapras, over Confuse Ray. It can take a hit.

Hmm, any more advice everyone? I'd really appreciate definite reasons as to why on some of this stuff, I'm trying to learn how to do this on my own better, you know? I'm planning on spending pretty much the remainder of my pokemon playing days building up this team, so I'd like to get it mostly right. ^_^
