I guess you can say I'm a new fan if you consider 2010 rather recent. I had read the entire manga the summer of 2010 before I entered college. I was very impressed by it, though I didn't
really get into the anime until DBZ Kai came on Toonzai (though I can't recall if it was 2010 or 2011). I did get the first two seasons of DBZ in January of 2011, and didn't get to complete the series until the end of August of this year, which I felt was a rather long time, partly because I'm not a very patient person, and also partly because the DVD box sets started becoming harder to find at Wal-Mart for whatever reason (though I guess it depended on the location). My brother and I ended up getting the rest of the seasons at our local Half-Price, and the findings were close together, so I was able to get back into the anime and even was able to watch all the DBZ movies. The release of
Battle of Gods to theaters helped spark that desire.
I'm currently watching
Dragon Ball, but it's been a slow watch, to be honest. I do like it, I just kinda have to be in the mood for the show because... well, I'm not gonna lie, but I can feel every second of the show each time I watch an episode. It's kind of irritating, which is probably why I don't sit down to watch it often, I pretty much have to make myself do it. Hopefully when I tackle
Kai it shouldn't be much of an issue since I'd be familiar with what I'm watching.
Yeah, I'll be watching GT at some point. I'm kinda anal like that.
Also i'll start the discussion, What do you guys think about Dragon Ball Z: Revival of "F" coming out in 2015?
I'm excited. *shrugs* I guess it's mainly because since Toriyama is involved with the movies it makes it canon (for once), so it'd be interesting to see where he takes the story further. This is mostly wishful thinking as I'm not sure if it'll happen, but it'd be great if the film got another limited theatrical release out here since the limited
Battle of Gods run did well.
I wonder if the chance of seeing Videl visibly pregnant, if Pan hadn't already been born, is high with this film. I don't think we know exactly how soon after
Battle of Gods the movie takes place, so that's my guess for now. I'm not sure what to expect with the movie at the moment.
