Ok so maybe this might be a stupid topic but have you guys ever thought that gamefreak is making the odd generations and the even generations the same for an example Hoenn and Kanto are sort of the same because when r/b/y came and went s/g/c where the sequels to the games and and now that the third generation is almost over they are making a sequels to the third generation so bascially what Im saying is Hoenn is like another Kanto and Shinou is probley gonna be like another Johto since they each have similar things towards one another.

If it were like G/S/C, we'd be making a trip to another region as well, thus wasting game space and giving less experience to both regions. Even though I'd like to see a game similar to G/S/C, we want the best experience possible, which means less space wasted. Don't get me wrong. G/S/C rocked!

Yeah, kinda. I noticed that Kanto pokemon's ideas were used a lot in Hoenn, so Johto's ideas might have to do with Shinou.

I think this idea is completely valid. Tatmanta and Weavil have been revealed already and I'm sure there will be more for the 2nd gen.

Well, there are two problems with having all regions in one cart:

1. It deprives GF of the opportunity to sell us on more remakes/rehashes, depriving them of moneys.
2. Under my time hypothesis, G/S/C is happening in Kanto/Johto during the timeframe of D/P, putting them off-limits.

No, I think like all game franchises, they have tried new things over time, and chose to implement the most popular features from the past in this game. Simple as that IMO.

I would like it if there were most of the joto pokes. and all of thenew pokes. and an ok number of common kanto/hoenn pokemon. of course there would be the difference of catchable pokes beetween D/P. It would be cool if old pokemon were also exclusive to certain games.

Ruby and Sapphire were modelled after Red and Blue, because of the colour similarity. Diamonds and Pearls, like Gold and Silver, are known for being pricey. So if Diamond and Pearl are the next Johto, that COULD mean Hoenn is the next Kanto, as in Hoenn could be accessible in these games, like Kanto was in Gold and Silver.

This is just a theory, though.

If anything, I'd think that you could return to Hoenn only. If the 2nd generation and 4th generation really parallel that much, then this could work.

Pretty much, I just want 16 badges again. XD
